Easygoing Eyebeast VCH
I just finished judging my first science fair, and wow, it sure was fun. I loved how some of the student hypotheses were so logical and simple. They distilled the essence of scientific thought, unlike most journal articles that hide any important thoughts and observations behind mountains of citations and useless jargon. One problem I had with the day was in the first judging session I was stuck with some pompous PhD candidate trying to show off and rip apart 7 year olds projects, man that was lame. But luckily in the second session I managed to pick a different guy, and we actually let each other read the poster before making comments. If you ever get the chance to Judge a science fair, I recommend you do it. Just make sure you get along with your marking partner
