Tenderfoot Thahd Azannon
It's been a while since I posted here... anyways, I'd like to ask the hardened veterans of the modding community if I could get a short list of basic script functions (restore health, restore energy, stuff like that) that explains what they do and what their variables mean. Thanks!

Tenderfoot Thahd Azannon
Well, it didn't exactly contain what I was looking for, but I did put in this question there. Thanks!
Well-Actually War Trall Ishad Nha
A lot of the Geneforge scripting is inherited from Blades of Avernum. If you download the BoA Editor and read the enclosed help files you will get an idea of how the Geneforge calls may work in practice. Tenderfoot Thahd Azannon
Well I can understand the calls fine, it's just that I really have no idea what the variables mean. i.e. - I know that "restore health" heals something, but I don't know what its four variables mean. Well-Actually War Trall Ishad Nha
If you don't know what the variables do, alter a variable in the call, then see what happens when you reload the same save game. (A text editor like Crimson Editor will enable you to alter scripts without hitting issues of two programs claiming control of the same file.) My guess is that the variables cover things like: how much damage is healed, the maximum range from the pool for healing and who is healed. Hear is an example from energypool.txt: //Cell 0 - Who is helps. 0 - just friendly. 1 - everyone. if (get_memory_cell(0) == 0) restore_energy_nearby(25,25,2,0); else restore_energy_nearby(25,25,2,2);
Tenderfoot Thahd Azannon
Hmm ok I get the idea, thanks! I'm hoping to do some fancy things with creations to spice up my game. If anything works out well, I'll be sure to post it!
