I read another post about how weak archers are now, but would strength get their damage up? I always go with the classic setup - Fighter, Archer, Mage, Priest. Easygoing Eyebeast *i Posted December 28, 2009 Share Posted December 28, 2009 Pure archery are no longer really a viable strategy, unfortunately. I don't think strength makes any difference in archery's power. Best to invest in bows and sharpshooter for that. You should probably stick some points into melee weapons and maybe a few levels of priest spells. That will give the character a little more to do. Hatchling Cockatrice ex post slarto Posted December 28, 2009 Share Posted December 28, 2009 Archery damage is increaed (equally) by: - Dexterity - Bows - Sharpshooter However, the amount archery damage goes up for those skills is noticably less than for comparable melee, pole, or magic skills, given their higher multipliers and other bonuses.
