Unflappable Drayk ĐªгŦĦ Єяŋϊε
i just have one question about this tunnel if its supposed to be a smuggling tunnel...how does everyone get passed the doomguard?!? by this time the party is strong enough to kill it to open the gate. but how does the average cheap labor loaded up with packages get passed it? Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
Probably the same way your party is meant to get past it: Kill one of the split-off copies, and run past the rest.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
The main smuggling tunnel into the lands north of Blackcrag doesn't go past the doomguard. That's the gate that you can't open. It's only the few that need to enter the Fortress that have to deal with the doomguard.
Easygoing Eyebeast The Mystic
(quick mental check) You're right, I forgot. The main tunnel is the one north of the storage units, and is locked. I remember when I first played E3, I didn't buy passage through the tunnel, and had to fight all the way to Blackcrag. Unflappable Drayk ĐªгŦĦ Єяŋϊε
that makes sense, i forgot about that tunnel because we cant use it. i mean otherwise its pretty inconceivable to be a heavily trafficked tunnel if most people get killed halfway down. still seems to be a bit of a strong overreaction to security. a. where did it come from? b. what happens after someone kills it? c. what happens to the rest of the copies after one is killed? it doesn't seem likely that we are the first party to come through, what happened to the aftereffects of the previous parties? LOL, that's because the various universes that games take place in suffer from a sort of time anomaly....everything is static and in a holding pattern until your party of adventurers gets close to it. Seasoned Roamer Orifushi Mafuyu
I'm assuming it can't be the Empire which put the doomguard there, because then it'd be on the other side of the gate, and the Thieves Guild would certainly want more distance between their smuggling tunnel and something that dangerous. I guess the Thieves Guild has enough clout to get one stationed there. b. Nothing happens when you kill it (other than that portcullis opening). It's probably just a test of strength, "you must be THIS badass to pass". It doesn't appear to be replaced, which raises a few other questions... c. It's a splitting monster, what does it matter when one clone gets destroyed? Not sure what you mean.
Unflappable Drayk ĐªгŦĦ Єяŋϊε
i meant something about how the area resets for other people with only one doomguard present when anyone shows up, but the answer about adventurers limbo seems to be the best answer
