Violet
Apparently there are many ways to get Rots, but what is the fastest way to get at least one point in to it? From Strategy Central, it has been listed at: Canister - West Passes Trainers - Haria-Kel - Astoria Faction Only Stormhold - After Alwan's Secret Laboratory Quest Abandoned Farms Gazaki-Uss - Ghaldring Faction Only Zephyr Oasis Dera South Shore Thanks in advance. Dikiyoba
Sage Olipha will train you in two points of create rotghroth if you tell him you approve of his illegal Shaping. That's the quickest and easiest way. It's a lot of money, though, so save up. You can also get one point in it from a canister in the West Passes early, but only if you can handle a tough fight. (If you can, though, and can afford the essence cost, rotdhizons are far superior to regular rotghroths.) The other trainers you can't access until later on in the game. Dikiyoba. Dantius
Unless you are joining a faction early (even joining Astoria requires the Tholossos quest), it's probably the Abandoned Farms one. However, please note that "Ghaldring only" does not actually mean that- anyone can sneak in, do some ninja moves, and BAM! you suddenly can create Gazers and Drakons and cast Aura of Flames at level 30! A less presumptuous name.
I was trying to get rots, and found that I could get tralls faster. I used the mechanics and stealth route to clear out the access route and get tralls from Ghaldring. Even with 3 tralls, I couldn't get the rot canister. I probably could have if I had put in the time and effort to pick of the Eye's allies one by one, but it wasn't worth it for me.
Acky
Odd, I'm always around level 40 when I get to Gazaki-Uss, even with Shapers.
Dantius
I usually head straight east from Perikalia after getting the quest, and I also skip the Okanavo fen, saving it for later. So I basicallybypass 2/3 of the Storm Plains exp, and at least three, maybe four levels in the Okanavo. However, I have good leadership, so O can persuade the various drakons to aid/ not attack me. The only trouble is the mandatory fight with the Drakon in Gazaki Uss. However, his Kyshakks are suceptible to Dominate, so I have them kill him, and then beat on each other until I swoop in and kill them both. The 10 levels of expirience I then put on my Gazers and rots is well worth it.

Dantius
No, you cannot get out of it, you can get his servile allies to go away. But, like I said, this fight proves the power of Charm when used correctly.

Dantius
Ooh! What leadership do you need?
Randomizer
Leadership 6 will get the serviles not to fight Leadership 9 will get option to avoid the fight entirely
Dantius
Hmm. I usually have 8 + items, but I don't think that there are any infiltrator items if you make a beeline for Gazaki-Uss. Oh well, XP is good. EDIT: Infiltrator items that give bonus to leadership are available in the East and Middle shadow Road, but I don't clear those areas. The first time it is found in a normal map is in the Mountain Crossroad, which is not found in the Perikalia-Gazaki beeline.

Dantius
No, it is an attempt to save exp for later, so I can steamroller the Storm Plains and Okanavo with my army of Gazers! Muwahahahahahaha!

Dikiyoba
You know, as annoying as unwarranted necromancy is, commenting on it is almost as annoying except when the unwarranted necromancy is really, really blatant and useless. Alas, Dikiyoba is now guilty of being annoying by commenting on a comment about unwarranted necromancy.
