Garrulous Glaahk S M Adventurer
Okay, so maybe I'll be designing a scenario for BoA. I just have one question. The icy floor (or anti-lava as some call it) is not a selectable terrain in the BoA editor. Is this normal or is my copy bad? I attend to use this terrain liberally in my scenario. Does this mean you have to create your own terrain script to use it in a scenario? Thanks in advance.
Magnificent Ornk Kelandon
This is correct in the default editor. You can use any number of base custom objects scripts (including one of mine that is now hard to find, I believe) that includes it, though. EDIT: Read "terrain script" as "terrain object definition in a custom objects script." See Eph's correction down below.
Magnificent Ornk Ephesos
You don't have to make a terrain script, just make a new entry in the scenario's data script. If you don't have one for your scenario yet, make a new .txt file with the name "[scenarioname]data.txt". So, if your scenario's .bas file is named "short.bas", then the data script would be "shortdata.txt". ...and then read the documentation about making custom terrains.
