Malignment
Okay so I haven't played very long, and maybe there is an existing thread for this kind of thing? Not sure, if there is please point me to it. But since I paid for this game, and I love it... because I love retro-ish games like this with lots of depth, i do have some feature requests: 1) different save game pages for different characters... let me have my save/load pages be character-specific. 2) if i hit G to look at the ground, let me it G to stop looking at the ground 3) High resolution fonts need some looking at (I noticed other threads on this) edit: 4) Mac specific: On my mac the function keys are automatically set to do a specific task. if I want to do F(X), I have to hold the function key, then hit F(X). I don't know if it is possible, but if it is it would be great if while this game is focused, that they were automatically F(X) keys rather than their counterparts. I know this is changeable in the system preferences, but I prefer to have these keys do their function in almost all situations... except during this game 5) This might be mac specific: Make right click the same as command click.. I don't know about other mac users, but I use a real mouse with more than one button. 6) it seems like most times when I enter a region, I enter from the wrong area. IE: If I enter from Whitespire Pass into Minallah, I zone in at the spot that is supposed to be (Minallah > Isenwood's Spire) instead of the one that is supposed to lead to Whitespire Pass. That's it for now.. I'm having a great time and this is a great game. Glad I stumbled on to it.
Randomizer
1. You can go into the document folder and rename the save game folder. The next time you play a new save game folder will be created and you can manually shift them around by renaming them before starting the game. 2. Escape key or enter usually gets you out of inventory and most other screens. 3. Fonts depend upon the specific computer, operating system, and graphics card. What you get is a compromise to run on the most systems without trying it out on every choice. 4. I didn't try it, but this is the first game where you can reassign keys. Malignment
Thank you for the work-arounds.. the save game folder idea is particularly useful. the idea for G to enter AND exit the ground-view window is purely for ease of use, and I realize that enter gets you out of it.. but when I am searching around on the ground, its nice to just have a finger on G and hit G G, instead of G ENTER. --- I'm about to try out the key reassigning.. The reason I posted, was because on a MAC, Control-click is a simulated right-click, and that brought up the same dialog box as Command-click... whereas with a blue-tooth wireless mouse with an actual right mouse button, right click does nothing. The Ratt
Does the right click function normally in other applications? Because that could be rather serious if it doesn't. Upon reflection I am interested to know where in GF5 do you have to right-click. I can't think of any examples.

Desmarestia
6. Once you've cleared a zone, you can choose your point of entry into it by first clicking on the zone adjacent to the entrance you want. Then, when you click on the zone you want to enter, the arrowhead should point to the correct entrance and you will be dropped off there. A less presumptuous name. However, I haven't yet played much on my laptop, and it sounds as if you are, or you are using one of the new small keyboards. If you go to system preferences and then keyboard, you can alter the F(X) keys. I have mine set so that the printed function only applied when I hold down the function key and they act as regular "F" keys when I just click them. Øther
When using right click, I don't remember ever being able to bring up stats. Weird.

Spddin Ignis
if you right click on people then you get their health.
Malignment
yes I'm on a laptop. When I hold control and click (which is one of the ways to perform a right click in OS X) on people or items i see info on them. I was just saying it would be nice to be able to do that with a right click from a regular mouse. I also just tried it with the multi-touch trackpad method of right clicking. That doesn't work either, not that I care.. I hate using the trackpad

It's the only way to see the health of a non-party character. *oops, beaten by Shaper Spddin* Oddly, it never seemed to work in the Mac versions, not even as ctrl+click.
