Garrulous Glaahk jimbob
Hello, everyone. I was just wondering what the maximum reputation on Avernum 1 was. Right now I have 47 reputation, but that seems like an odd number to have as the maximum, and I thought that at some number of reputation you are given the title of a "True Hero", which I figured would have been 50. I know that having reputation past about 25 has no further effects, but I was just wondering what the maximum was anyways. Thanks to everyone who helps out! Garrulous Glaahk Tarson
I havent played Avernum 1 in awhile but im fairly sure its either 80 or 100.
Garrulous Glaahk jimbob
Hmmm, I am pretty sure it is not that high, considering that I did most of the sidequests already. Maybe I am wrong, but I do not think so.... Thanks for the answer anyways. I think that that is the maximum reputation for Avernum 2. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
I have a save near the end at reputation 44, but I think that includes two negative reputation quests.
Garrulous Glaahk jimbob
I did not do any of the negative reputation quests (I cannot stand killing a beggar, even if it is in a game), and 47 is all I got. Anyone else have an idea of the maximum reputation? Thanks in advance for replies!
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
I think that's probably it then, if you've done everything, and not completed any negative rep quests (for example, the quest to get sugar for the barkeep in Formello). Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
I think the editor cap was 40 or 50. This isn't a hard cap, but the fact that reputation will keep going up doesn't mean anything. —Alorael, who would be more interested in knowing which level of reputation is the highest that has any effect on the game. Reputation seems largely useless past the very beginning.
Kyshakk Koan Abhishek
i am sure it is 80 for a3 editor. It works in a3 at least till you dont reach footracer. -Abhishek,who is sure that 50 reputation is a must for a new player. -Abhishek,who wonders how many times Alorael style is used by anyone else. *HIDES*
Magnificent Ornk Dikiyoba
The maximum reputation through the editor is 40 in A1 and 80 in A2 and A3. Dikiyoba thinks reputation in A2 won't go any higher than 100, but you won't hit that unless you're cheating.
Rotghroth Rhapsody Feo Takahari
What? I thought I got 100 in A1 and A2. (I did every last little quest.)
Garrulous Glaahk jimbob
I was just hoping that someone else was obsessive like me and tried to get the maximum reputation, so that they could corroborate the maximum reputation that I got. Like I said, I thought that 47 was an odd number to have the maximum reputation (without cheating). And to Alorael, I think that the most reputation that matters is 30, which is the point that Athron teaches Slow L3.

I'm playing A1 at the moment, actually, so once I've finished I'll be able to give you a proper answer. I've got to kill Grah-Hoth and find the surface route, but just about all the other sidequests are done. I did give the sugar to Gary, but I didn't steal the snake ring for Dexter in Almaria(?), so I'll just add one to my total.
Garrulous Glaahk jimbob
I am not 100% sure, but last time I killed Grah-Hoth it did not give any reputation points. I think it is the same with finding the exit to the surface. I would guess, then, that whatever reputation you have now would be the maximum unless there are some sidequests you have not done yet. Thank you for doing this for me, Nikki.
Kyshakk Koan Sss-Chah
i remember telling one of the scimitar members about the exit. i'm not sure if this raises reputation or not for that quest, though.
Garrulous Glaahk jimbob
I did tell the leader of the Bargha Scimitar cell about the exit, but it does not do anything for reputation. Anyone else got a save file with what they think is maximum reputation?
