The Item List for Geneforge 5

 

This is still a work in progress so a few items and reputation adjustments are missing, so there will be updates to add them.

 

This list includes all major items, mechanics levels to open door and remove those nasty traps, leadership levels to get extra dialog options, reputation changes from answering questions and doing certain actions, and a few spoilers in how to get past pylon fields.

 

When an exact mechanics level is not available either an upper limit is given or the number of living tools (lt) at a mechanic level range is given.

 

Crime tolerance level is the number of items you can be seen taking that causes an area to go hostile. So take one less than the area number if you are light fingered.

 

WARNING: The contents of this list include many spoilers. As with the cheat codes, use it at your discretion.

I just noticed that the regular Puresteel Blade dropped by Smith Fitz does base 25-125 damage, making it by far the best weapon in the game. I don't think it's a typo, since my Shock Trooper is suddenly doing damage with it comparable to her Rotdhizons and War Tralls. (The Shock Tralls still have her beat, but then she's not decaying.)

Jeff purposely made the Puresteel Blade the best in the game, almost twice the next best weapon, to aid fighters. Even better than the Puresteel Soulblade in the Disposal Vault.

 

Thuryl - Synergy had to break up the Nethergate Item List into several posts because UBBThreads won't take a single post that long. Geneforge 5 is even worse with over 80 zones. Now Avernum 6 will probably be even longer in total size.

Ok folks, I've beaten my head against this for like 2 hours now and I can't figure it out, so turn to you for help.

 

The Infiltrator's Charm is located in the Southwestern Wastelands, in a chest in a heavily trapped room. I've even made it to this chest that contains said charm once and saw it - how sweet it was. However, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get in there and disarm the traps prior to violent death.

 

THe only thing I can think of is finding more items that give stealth - currently tried only with +1 - but I'm not even sure that stealth affects sensor mines.

 

Anyway, any help is appreciated. Thankee Sai!

Stealth might help. It's worth trying, certainly. I had a few items equipped that raised stealth when I finally managed to grab the charm.

 

Dikiyoba managed to get it by entering into combat mode a safe distance away, clicking on one mine to run in and disable it, and then quickly disarming the second one in the same round. It took at least a dozen tries before Dikiyoba got lucky enough to disarm the second mine.
