Seasoned Roamer Nightowl2
OK. Finished game 2x now, Astoria faction. First time, did Shadow Road and canister book. Second time, nothing. Both endings, in epilogue, Rawal gets to be head of council. That sucks. Any way to prevent that? Without joining some other bunch. Really hate this guy. Want him to lose position. Actually, want him dead. But no can do without messing up faction. So will settle for obscurity. Possible? - Nightowl2
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Its only possible to kill Rawal and get away with it if you are siding with the Rebels and have your control tool taken out. The Last Archon
Tenderfoot Thahd Rahvasaadik
I played the game without siding with anyone and then, when I got to the point I had visited all zones and cleared them, I made multiple saves, each with different names, indicating the factions I leaned towards the most. Then I progressed to do the factions main questline (which isn't that difficult with cheatcode "dbugkill" ) I managed to obtain most of the endings. True, it worked out better when I did it in G1, but since that game, the different endings you can get have also multiplied.
Easygoing Eyebeast Triumph
I seem to recall someone saying that if you played Astoria's faction, and killed Greta at the end of the game, rather than letting her escape, then Rawal would not become head of the council. I'm not 100% sure of that, but pretty sure. It must be some bizarre manifestation of the "butterfly effect" or something.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
cheat code "dbugkill" is unsupported and may cause problems with your game. Jeff keeps forgetting to remove the code.
Well-Actually War Trall Acky
Actually, he removed it for G5 on Windows, so G5 Mac is likely that last we will see of it. The Last Archon
Seasoned Roamer Nightowl2
Not gonna kill Greta. Guess I'm stuck with Rawal the big cheese. Too bad. Umm. Maybe kill him just before the blowout at GU? Could work? - Nightowl2
Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
No, then all the shapers will hate you.
Seasoned Roamer Nightowl2
So much for that. Thx for the replies. Really wanted him dead. Of course, could kill him then restore, but not satisfying. Oh well. - Nightowl2
Garrulous Glaahk Barzhal
Rawal isn't that bad. In fact, no other character gives you more throughout the game than Rawal (including several major stat boosts and a nice charm). Granted, enslaving you and placing a living tool in your chest isn't that great, but you get rid of it eventually.
