Seasoned Roamer Nightowl2
Some items have "damage shield" as a property. What does it do? How good is this? Worth keeping items? Just did clawbugs and have poly shield. Switch to that, or keep shield with +10 DS? - Nightowl2
Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith
It works like steel spines: enemies that attack you in melee will take some damage. The main problem with it is that most of the really scary enemies use ranged attacks anyway.
Magnificent Ornk nikki.
In the early game I found it quite nice - my Shaper was able to resist damage a lot more than her fyora (she would take 8 or so damage whilst he would take 20 or so), so I would send her in to the thick of fights more often than not. After around the Mera-Tev, though, this strategy will probably back-fire wonderfully.
Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
If you can withstand the damage and heal every round then it works through the middle of the game. But it fails when you face stunning attacks and slowing.

Seasoned Roamer Nightowl2
Thanks. Wondered why enemies took damage hitting me. Will likely exchange current shield for better one later. - Nightowl2
