Fledgling Fyora Uncle Pennybags
I'm new to Spiderweb games and Avernum 5 is my first. On the journal, if you select "your journal" there is a list of blank entries. Is this something you can add notes to, and if so, how? I don't see anything about that screen in the instructions. Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer
When dialog boxes appear in talking to a character or certain other places you can use the "record" button in the lower left corner to save the text to your journal. This is helpful for messages about quests and things that people say describing the area. Jeff never made it so you can take your own notes. Ineffable Wingbolt Øther
Though taking notes yourself could be very helpful if you want to remember to do something, or remember where a stash is or something like that. The best way to do that (I think) is probably to go to the scripts, change a dialogue to your little note, talk to that person/sign, record the dialogue, and then change the scripts back. Personally, I think taking handwritten notes would be much faster.
Well-Actually War Trall Rowen
I have used the journal before and it helps. Just make sure you do not record ever conversation or you will have a lot of dialog to go through.
