Garrulous Glaahk Sade
There is a book in Magi Tower lvl 2 that improves the Forcecage spell at total Rune Reading skill of 53 or higher. If I try to read it without sufficient skill, I get a message that ends with "You shut the book feeling dumber than ever.", not getting the spell improvement like supposed. However, what actually happens is that everyone in my party gets +12 Arcane Lore skill. In addition to being rather ridiculous amount of free skill, it's in kind of contradiction with the fact that I should "feel dumber". So, is this a bug or some kind of intentional feature? Kyshakk Koan Smoo
Ah, yes. Another player emailed me about this in September. It's a bug. You were supposed to get the "dumbfounded" status. My website (there's a link in my signature) has a new version where I've fixed this. I probably should have made sure that at least Jewels' and Tyran's sites got the updated versions, but I kind of forgot. Of course, you probably got the scenario from Spiderweb's scenarios page, and I really don't want to send an update there.
Well-Actually War Trall Balladeer
My site has been updated.
Kyshakk Koan Smoo
Awesome, Jewelz. I did mean to send it to you. It was on my do-to list, but I suppose it works this way too. The Shadow Vale Database seems to be woefully out of date. Is it even supported any more? Should I bother sending an updated scenario to Tyran? I say nay. All in all, a pretty effortless update process on my part.
