A4 - Help with dispel barrier

OK, I think I am missing something.

 

I have read through the topics on getting the dispel barrier. My problem is I can't open the door over Kelner's room.

 

My characters are all over level 23.

 

My mage is:

 

spellcraft - 5

lore - 6

tool use - 0

mage skills - 11

 

My priest is:

 

spellcraft - 1

lore - 3

Tool use - 15

priest skills - 8

 

I know I should have my mage with the tool use, but I learned that handy tip after the fact. Any ideas on what I am missing?

When you complete Kelner's quest to kill the tower's demon, he unlocks the door above him that leads to the spell book. This is the only way to access that spell book. The next one is in Harston in the Giant Lands, much later in the game.

 

You could always add mage skills to your priest to get the minimum level to use unlock door spell. This would help with high difficulty doors. There are plenty of armors in the game that don't restrict mage spell usage.

Usually, the problem is simply looking in the wrong building. Try all of them.
