The map has an X near one of the towns elsewhere in Avernum. The first one I found was SW of Almaria. I went to the rough location it referred to but I never found anything. (I can't remember which city it was now). Now I found a second door north of Fort Remote that has a map with an X southwest of Almaria. What's the deal with these doors? Hatchling Cockatrice Randomizer Posted September 11, 2007 Share Posted September 11, 2007 There are a series of tests to help train adventurers. The first one is west of Grindstone in a pit. The tests must be done in order. If you come to a later test before you have done all the others, a map appears showing the general location of the previous test.
