Garrulous Glaahk Lowly Exile
Yay! Back to playing Exile 3! I had forgotten how much I love this game... I have also forgotten about the augmentation abilities some merchants have. Can anyone tell me (or does someone know of a list) who those merchants are and what they can do to my weapon. Granted, I know you can find better weapons later in the game, but I would like to have this information anyway.
Well-Actually War Trall BainIhrno
This isn't a complete list, but there's some I know I remember. I forgot the names of the characters, so... Farport, Nephil Warrior: +1 Sharimik, Apprentince Mage (in weapon shop) : Shoot Flame Spells Lorelei, Priest: cast Bless spells. Gale, Weaponsmith: +3 or +5, can't remember. Tevrono, weaponsmith: Flaming Hidden smith in Blackcrag (Winn): Flaming
Unflappable Drayk Princess Ruth
Forget Blackcrag unless you're prepared to cheat. The prices are all ridiculous.

Unflappable Drayk Princess Ruth
You guess correctly.
Unflappable Drayk Toenail Returns
Isn't there a guy that turns weapons into mithril? EDIT: Oh wait, he turns mithril into weapons. Never mind.
Unflappable Drayk Princess Ruth
There's one in Eastern Valorim. I forget the name of the town, but it's north of Storm Port and across the river. You can courier things to another town and he's in there. The dragons will give you a mithral sword too.
Garrulous Glaahk Lowly Exile
Not quite.... you can find mithril in Sulfras's lair and if you talk to a mage in Inn of Blades. Then, you take the mithril to the "hidden" smith in Lennus (or Squiggus?) and he'll create a mithral sword for you.
Unflappable Drayk Toenail Returns
I think it's Squiggus. I'd check, but my computer zapped my regestered version of E3.
Unflappable Drayk Princess Ruth
It's the highest town, I believe it's Lennus.
Magnificent Ornk Drakefyre
It's Carmine, in Lennus. There's a third piece of mithral that you can find by a bunch of maps and quests and things I think starting in Golddale, going to Angel's Rest, and then up to Eagle's Rock. Well-Actually War Trall Cairo Jim
How do I get the guy in the Inn of Blades to et me to take the mithral to whoever I need to take it to?
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
The mage in the Inn of Blades doesn't give you the mithral, he asks you to bring him some and tells you where it is. You can get the Identify spell for bringing it to him, or you can get the sword instead. —Alorael, who'd rather have the sword. The spell is unusably expensive to cast and not terribly important anyway with so many helpful identifiers scattered everywhere. The only time it's useful is when you find loot in the depths of a cave in the middle of nowhere, and then you're not likely to have the spell points to spare for Identify. Fledgling Fyora FarDx
I think too it's better getting the sword. Besides the reasons mentioned previously, you can buy the spell (i don't renember where) and you can get it bringing a special book of teleportation(who are in the hut of a mage who teleports you to some places) to Ivanova (i think she's in Golddale). Sorry for don't renember too much, but i got the spell some months before...
Easygoing Eyebeast ben4808
I thought the mage in the Inn of Blades gives you Summon Beast and Conflagration.
Unflappable Drayk Princess Ruth
I think he does, but you also get told where to find Mithral.
Garrulous Glaahk PantherShadow
I've also seen mithril on a random vendor somewhere... Just don't count on it to save your life.
Hatchling Cockatrice Alorael at Large
You can find mithril equipment in random item shops, but the strange metal lumps that are actually mithril are a special item and can't be found in random shops. —Alorael, who would be very happy if he could purchase the occasional additional lump of mithril. Well-Actually War Trall Rupert
Actually, unless I'm gravely mistaken, I believe it is the Nymph/Perfect Flower quest that leads you to Eagle Rock and to the third lump of mithril.
Garrulous Glaahk Lowly Exile
How does this happen? I started this thread over a year ago and today I get some email notification about the replies. Jeez, let it die! To summarize: mithral - unbuyable and found in 3 places in Valorim. Ask a nymph, apprentice mage, and/or a dragon to get started. The smith is hidden in a small town. Go forth. Hunt. *stabs thread with an iron dagger*

Yeah, this is why you shouldn't turn on e-mail notification. I think we've sufficiently covered this topic, though. The walkthroughs in the board header also give enough information that even without this thread, the information is available. With that in mind, I put this thread out of its misery.
