Curious Artila Bandit Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 I'm facing Rentar in his keep. I can't seem to kill her. I'm running low on spell points. I've shut down 3, I think, machines. Are ther more more machines to shut down? Is there something else I need to do? I don't need a specific answer, just if I need to do more. Hatchling Cockatrice Lilith Posted January 4, 2006 Share Posted January 4, 2006 If your problem is that you keep hitting her when her health bar is almost all red and she still doesn't die, that's normal. You can only kill her after she's started a second conversation with you, which takes a minimum of a few rounds (there are a few scripted events on a timer that have to happen first). It's possible to convince her to surrender if you picked the right conversation options earlier in the game. (Although if you've been consistently belligerent, you have to kill her.) I was surprised, you end up offing 3 of the buggies precious crystal souls and just get a big "meh" from them. I suspect severe repercussions in the future.
