I may not be the only one eager to implement something that spiderweb has done and I may be speaking for some developers here.. So I'm an Indie developer I recently got into Avernum I consider it a really awesome game, great mechanics and storytelling before graphics. I will go straight to the point I want to implement stuff like the lightning spray but I can't figure it out and I was wondering if anybody here knows how that specific magic programming works? It redirects itself whenever you move it just one square.
Yesterday I decided to fork the old, unmaintainted Blackbox window manager. Here is the project on Gitorious: https://gitorious.org/whackbox So far I've gotten it to compile and run successfully with -Werror -Wall. Which is not really saying much. But now that it compiles cleanly, I'm looking for features to add. There are a couple (scrolling virtual desktops and Ratpoison-style keybindings) that are definitely on my agenda, but I'm not sure what else. A more convenient way of launching programs, maybe?
