In Goldcrag, the Soggy Cactus box: "door - 2@L4 - box guarded by merchant" Can actually be stolen from. Go into combat mode, and block the merchant's pathing so that the only way he can go is towards the door. Get him there, possibly shut half the door on him, and just keep on blocking his way (hold down space to wait until he moves) until he patrols outside the room. The only thing of note there is a scroll of speed burst, but better than nuttin'!
