From what I have read, I should be able to talk to Shigaz after fighting him, but I cannot, he is a blood spot n the floor. I get no interruption in battle from the game. I kill him, stay in battle mode until I go to peace mode. continue down the path to the white gate, it is closed. I cannot go backwards, the entrance is barred also.

I go down in the tunnel, I'm supposed to disable shigaz then talk to him, but I keep killing him. I fight him for two or three rounds without doing much damage, then he leaps, is completely healed, but no matter how weak my next hit, it takes all his health and turns him into a pool of blood. So the gate is still locked and I cannot get out.

I have tried over and over, always the same ending.
