Ah, sorry, Windows. Vista to be specific.

So, as you guys already know I think, the Steam Summer Sale is going on. I finally realized my dream of owning the whole Geneforge Saga! So, I download Geneforge 3, and it works fine...for a while. Then, it starts having a purely black screen when I load it up, and not doing anything, and in fact, forcing a hard reboot. Not fun. I tried all the typical fixes, including uninstalling and reinstalling it. After doing that, it worked again...for a few plays I think. Then it started doing the same thing again. I had this problem with a demo I had gotten on Steam not too long ago too (I don't remember what game, sorry) so I think this is mostly Steam's fault. But whatever the case, I want to know how I can fix it. Again, bear in mind, I'm not a noob, I know my drivers are up to date, I've restarted my computer (been forced to), I've checked the support page. I've tried all the easy fixes. But, if there's something else that can help, that I want to know. Thanks!
