So if I've already killed everything in the open, then I can't complete the quest?

I have access to the Kva lands. The area within that never opened like it says it will on the map from the FAQ post.

Exit which zone? The town??

I can not get to where the wolves are located even though I have started the quest. Is there something else I need to do for that area to unlock?
