Based on your observations, could you construct the equations used to calculate damage? If so, it might be easier for you calculate outside of manually parsing the combat log.

You should have some sort of script that automatically adds the subject of the thread you're posting in to your signature!

I've been playing for about 20 hours or so and am around level 15.

 

I'd have to say my biggest complaint would have to be about the interface, specifically how there are different keys needed to open and then close a menu.

 

It would be great if inventory and magic menus could be shut by the same key used to open them.

30K, huh? I assume at later levels, this is a problem. I'm only level 15ish, and the few thousand gold I amass while out questing is eaten up pretty quickly at the trainers.

Just out of curiosity, how are you collecting your data? Are you parsing the combat log manually?

Is there any practical benefit to using items which generate extra light? For example, is it an effective boost to cave lore, allowing for finding things easier? Does it boost the light radius?

 

Interesting. I will test this time I play. But that sort of makes food pretty useless then, if you can't even use it to top off your party's HP when out adventuring.

So, from time to time, all the items in my inventory, potions, food, etc lose the little yellow cog wheel and I have no way of using them.

 

Reloading the game seems to fix the issue, but then it will crop up again. It's something i can work around, but sometimes I forget, and not being able to use potions/scrolls in a fight can mean I lose.

 

Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Thanks! I have no idea how I missed that, I was in there at least three times.

I cannot find it either. I did receive a necklace from killing the priest on the second floor in the room behind the locked door, but when I speak with the mayor, I do not have a dialogue option to turn in in.

What am I missing?

I don't have the game in front of me, but I recall there being an in-game guide accessible from the main menu which explains many concepts.

This would actually be a great idea and could probably be done fairly easily in a spreadsheet program. With knowledge of the game mechanics.

I was wondering if there is a calculator out yet where I can experiment with different character builds.
