I think he would be a "wannabe trakovite" like kyryk - dislikes shapers and rebels, and shaping in general, but can't stop using it without being overrun.

The shapers will die - but in which order?[G5]
Lord_Shaper replied to Lord_Shaper's topic in Geneforge Series
Thanks guys! I will let you know when he is dead - because then I will need help with Astoria. -
Hey all, the main problem i have found with the whole series is that , in the endgame, it's nigh on impossible to find living tools, and there is a "cap" on how useful mechanics is - some locks, you always need a tool for. While magic users have unlock, guardians have a real problem with this. So, in order to preserve my hard- fought character, I am wondering if there is a script I can modify to give myself 20 living tools? Or if there is a salesman with an infinite supply?

Even moreso, look at the classes that are different from the shapers. Servile, is just a infiltrator with more health and slight gimped magic, (no difference), shocktrooper, is a guardian that can shape a bit more (no difference really), and the sorceress is a shaper that focuses a bit more on magic and less on shaping ( no difference). I disagree. I have played with guardians, lifecrafters, sorceress's,infiltrators and a shocktrooper, and I find that my play style is forced to alter with the different classes that you claim match. For instance, when playing as a guardian, I tended towards drayks and alphas that were "bumped up", because I couldn't spare the skill points on shaping. Whearas with my shock trooper, I spent the game using charged creations and a regen aura to back up my lower strength and endurance. I found playing a sorceress was intolerable, because their increased magic did not make up for the loss of shaping that they lost compared to the shaper/lifecrafter.

From other forum conversations, i's say it's been nerfed along with the speed spells/items to make it harder to solo. Though I haven't tried to find out, I must say.

Creations- Ubering a few or power in numbers?[G5]
Lord_Shaper replied to Daipraetor's topic in Geneforge Series
Personally, I am in favour of the "hit and run" style (ie/ make a few charged/unstable creations, waste most of the zone, then flee, recharge, and try again). This strategy allows you to tailor you creations, for instance if you are fighting someone magial who uses rain/shower spells, you pawn them with a super charged firebolt, but if you are fighting an "endless host" - eg/ a spawner - then you want the numbers that allow you to kill 3-4 enemies a turn, and can shape accordingly. However, if you prefer the rather mor sensible strategy of leveling up a few choice creations, the I would say it depends on your character. If you are a lifecrafter/shaper or a sorceress who has access to lots of group buffs/aura's, then logically, the more creations you have, the greater the effect - better 3 fyora's all with +5 strenth buffs and a shield each, than one cryora with the same. -

(Sorry for double post) I fought taygen out of the oasis (having now killed Alwan and Rawal), and he fled to Kayars spire. Now how do I kill him - does he have more creations i can persuade? -

Just to be clear : I can order taygens creations to aid me/ not attack me, then go kill Alwan/Astroria/Rawal, and then when I go to kill taygen they will still aid me? -
Hello, I am on my second playthrough of the game, but my first as a rebel. After joining and giving up upon Astoria and Litalia (Ghaldring promises power, not shapelessness and weakness), I have taken Ghaldrings quest to kill shapers. I am a level 34 shock trooper with a leadership/mechanics build, but with high strength and intelligent, nd passable shaping (I can make all creations except grade 1's, including firebolts and cryrodrayks. What order (and how) do I kill the shapers? I know that Alwan can be poisoned (and have the poison), I have got the sevant mind to give me control over Rawals defences, and found the secret entrance to Haia Kell , but not killed anyone. I do not know Taygen's weakness yet. What now?
