I think you need a rope for that. I'm not sure where you can get one in that town (you may need to look outside of the town for a rope).

The "strength" part might just be referring to you having to defeat all the monsters, not an actual check for a party level / characteristic.

The first number you have to type in is the number of the special item. The second number is the amount of the special item you want.

I don't think there are any...you either have to kill the eye or fulfill its request to get past the hot floors.

If I'm thinking of the right creature, the spinecores are the ones that hurt you but the buds just sit around and recharge the main spinecore. So if you can't get rid of the spinecore in one hit, it'll recharge itself...so you might want to go after the buds first to lower its defenses.

I have, and it did not work. Only way is by slimy and chewy or hard and crusty plagues only.

If you download new versions of Avernum and Geneforge from their site and ask them for a new reg code, they will give one to you. I believe you have to supply the name you bought the game with (the buyers name) but that's about it, I think.
