My biggest gripe with TBased Party Rpgs and Melee
Cairo Jim replied to Death Knight's topic in General
I thought melee was already dominant, in SW games anyway. My fighters I use in Avernum deal much more damge than my spell casters. That being said, I don't use thrown weapons or archery at all. -
Darth Vader does not need a shield to use with his fancy arse techno sword.

Darth Vader.

Depends on how close together they are. An archer loses time everytime they load, aim and then fire an arrow. All the guy with the sword has to do is swing a sword. That being said, I remember something about Roman troops taking cover from oncoming missile attacks by covering their heads with a wall of shields

Lazy rehash with plenty of screen effects, surround sound and what have you.

I'm a bit of a sci fi fan myself, so whenever there's a new Star Trek movie out, I tend to like it. That being said I've watched Next Gen in it's entirety as well as a couple ST movies. Did I mention Stargate?

Your music that you listen to-All Genres Accepted
Cairo Jim replied to Death Knight's topic in General
Thrash would be the main genre I listen to, although I've been getting into a few different styles lately. I've managed to find a few good Scandinavian bands. Apart from that I'll occaisonaly listen to reggae, and some not so hard rock sort of stuff. -
At the moment, although this would be quite a topic I'd be interested in, I've had a long day at work and there's a few posts I'm too tired to read completly: but I'll leave this. Science and physics and stuff has been raised, but what aout the average Joe? Also, I did quite well with maths and science in high school, but I also have a religious leaning. Although being Christian, I've been doing a bit of curiosity research of Islam lately.

If i had the time I'd have a crack. I was quite dissappointed when Sy's AIMhack went down the drain, I was starting to enjoy it.

I just bought a book about 2 or 3 weeks ago called The Lion of Cairo by Scott Oden. As per usual for my reading traditions, I've read the first few pages, put it down and forgot about it.

Tequila, beer and wine are my pet hates when it comes to alcohol. When I was about 16-18 i was quite partial to bourbon, and occaisonally rum. Now I mostly stick to Jameson, on occaison I'll have rum, or something along those lines.

Sugar out was my betet option. I rarely eat anything sweet, and the only time I'll ever have soft drink i if it contains alcohol. Giving up the alcohol wouldn't be a bad thing though.

I lot all my ID quite a while ago. It' now at the bottom of the ocean. It was slightly irritating for a while being in my early 20's, and getting asked for ID all the time.

I'm not a very energetic person when I get out of bed, but if I have something to do in the morning, that seems to pick me up a bit. Like getting to work at 5:30 am. Although I love coffee, I don't use it as a keep me awake thing.

We have a similar thing with coal seam gas at the moment. We have a bunch of guys, im not sure who, but they're running around, commandeering small parcels of land for it. Although they "recompensate", since a lot of them are on livestock farms, or are in areas where a lot of livestock are, there are complaints of the gas contaminating local water supplies
