Ah, right, so you can only save saves - as it were - with Steam hosted games, and not use it for other game saves like Neverwinter Nights, say? (An old favourite)
  2. OK so I downloaded this Steam thing in order to get a demo for another game too, but I'm not sure what Steam is. I'm thinking it's, at 1.5mb, some kind of slimmed down GameSpy? No? Some sort of download manager? Hmmm. Why not just have the website with the downloadable trial demos already, instead of going through this having some software on your PC to get software middleman? Am I being thick or what? :-D

It's intuitive to click outside a window to close it too - having to click on a relatively small green circle with a tick in it gets pretty old, particularly when your mouse isn't the highest DPI.

  6. I guess if you're patient to be a bit of a wheeler dealer, you can note who is dear/cheap and trade accordingly, though is the game economy that sophisticated in terms of buy low sell high?...

Even if you stole nothing, she'd still be irritated. Maybe cos you snuffed her pet daemon. :-)

Alternatives should be provided like mappable mouse buttons, double clicking, etc. Auto arrange button would be cool. Adjustable pathfinding nodes a la Icewind Dale. Adjustable HUD transparency. Battle anims on/off performance tweak. Environment anims on/off or complexity performance tweak.

I don't know if the person originating the point is gone or not. It could be ventured that a post cannot be "dead", as it were, as long as there are newer players of the game encountering the same problem or offering differing pov on the issue. 11. Ah, found a trapdoor that leads to an unexplored cavern of rainbow lizards to the east of the maze...hmm...aha! it leads directly under the river to the right bank...

EDIT: Nope, the woods aerea to the NE is inaccessable, and when I manage to open a tempremental trapdoor (a random game annoyance needs fixing) to get me to the northern maze, hedges block the way on the east side of that section.
  13. Takes a few days to beat it the first time? I've had it for two weeks and I'm still not anywhere finding the shadowbeast after it ran off the second time...

When put on the dash the display is reflected in the windshield HUD stylee.
  16. I've got Ahmed's book and returned it to that tower NPC, I though at least she could do is disappear so I could rob her blind heheh...Quennel has already made his mind up - I should have saved before my convo with him. I should have lied to him, but thought I was being fair. It seems diplomacy and being conciliatory doesn't get you as far as being aggressive.
  17. Ah yes, thank-you. You can talk to him through the window, but the sod still isn't coming out, even after I sympathised with him and everything! Misery guts! Made no difference to the quest, that was a waste of effort. Right, I think I'll return Ahmed's book that Zethy nicked.
  18. Ah yes, the snooty mage on the island? Yes I recall now. The Q quest is in the journal. I think I picked up the key, I'll just check...nope don't have it. Most of my quests have plateaus and are accumulating due to lack of progress. This is getting annoying now, as you don't know which quest triggers what progress, so you circumlocute and perigrinate around the entire continent trying to find some NPC, *any* NPC, that will offer a clue, and even then it's more wild goose chases, quest brick walls and "no you can't unlock that door". :-/ *Throws hands in the air* Neverwinter Nights was never annoying in that way. I think I'll start the game again. I must have lost the key or it might be a glitch. I might get a refund.
  19. I've cleared the dungeon of pests and rioters, I visited Miranda and the dungeon clearance thing doesn't appear - I thought you get the key from Callan, Mamora says. Who's this Quiria woman? Seems the staff running Avadon don't know they're arse from their elbow. I'm accumulating half-done quests as there's no real information or waymarkers in the journal - one of the major quibbles I have with this game! *fume*
  20. What window? I can't find quennel.

  22. In a funny way, I don't consider backtoavadon a cheat, it's a huge timesaving thing.
  23. shift-D then 'backtoavadon', will teleport you back to the stair just above avadon dungeons/jail.
