When an item like the Greenstone Band provides "+15% to Healing", what exactly does that mean? Does it apply to healing effects you cause, or healing effects you receive? I'm trying to decide whether these items are useful to anybody, or mostly just the shaman.

I can't figure out how to complete this quest. Click to reveal.. I've found all three campgrounds. I've followed him closely through at least two rounds, getting the message about dried meat. I've followed him more distantly through at least two rounds, getting two messages. One about searching for something and not finding it. Another about seeing me and getting nervous. I've talked to the Eye, but can't bring the topic up. I've left the area and returned, but nothing changes. I feel like I'm missing something simple. Can someone help?
