  1. There are places where you can drink and it tells you so. Presuming the liquid blob change something in your character statistics, I never had the chance to compare them "before" and "after" drinking. What precisely this gain influences?

  2. Lady Anja will be crossed when you give the Totem to the other Shaman, but you'll have to kill her anyway, then the other could give you another quest if I well remember.

  3. Sorry I wrote wrong while I thought right :-)

Shaman Stave is a two hand weapon, as you however caught in your reply. She stays back for present quest (but usually I put Nathalie in the Party), because Blademaster and Shima got higher Dex; at the same time her long range powers are quite useful and Shaman Stave is truly an addition for those powers.

Anyway, I wonder which is the best choice to make the higher damage: shield protection is OK but she could survive without; what I think a spell could miss is in terms of enhancements dropping the two items (Dex and Int), and the other features related to Sun's Rod and the Buckler. It is difficult to me to make a comparison.

  4. Jenell is now level 29 and I have a doubt about what would it be the best attack weapons combination.

She's now wearing the Sun's Rod, enhanced +1 Intelligence and the Rune-Etched Buckler, enhanced +1 Dexterity.

She recently found the Shaman Stave, that is powerful but is a one hand weapon (and not yet enhanced).

What is better then, Rod+shield or the Shaman stave?

    Thanks!

  5. The papers in the Hall of Records are not those the Wayfahrer is looking for, so you didn't put them in the crate.

You have to go back later on to Ryozo room and check again, until you find them.

Then you can talk to Harissa, there will be an option in your dialog, not hers.

Then bring the papers to the crate and get the reward.

At last, when you meet the WF again you can mention you found other papers in the Hall of Records and he will tell you further information about the - supposed so - contradiction between the two documents.

  6. The Talented Scavenger sounds good :-) , for those not skilled with hacking there's a sentence in Avadon Central that does the job.

Having started with cheats my playthroughs gradually, say, evolved into experience in order to get money. So I don't say this helps are right or wrong, they are useful when in need, but the game is designed to let players reach its end also without them.

  7. This is true, with practice and memory :-) I am now able to proceed quicker and in each further playthrough it is easier to put together the money for blessings and weapons; on the other hand (sic) the comparison is with Avernum, where you collect more money than you need and quickly, at least this is what I remember about the previous (great) Spiderweb software game.

Radiojonty@ the value of reselled objects is approximately 1/5 of its original value, there's no way to bargain and every merchant buys at the same rate. But, you can buy the same object i.e. a battle crystal at quite different prices from different merchants, and in one situation you can even force the merchant to low down prices.

  8. Of course you select valuable objects, point is they are everywhere, not only where you stop to fight and dropped by dead foes. When you need money you have to stop frequently and "G" the areas to look for items, this means you get more valuable objects but the search slows down the game.

  9. Agreed, Avernum was a quicker land ;-) here money isn't that much above all for blessings, 3.000 coins each blessing seems a lot, compared to the dozens of objects one has to collect and sell to earn the sum (quest rewards apart).

You can however spare the amount later on and go back (to Vebeaux, to the trainer in Beast woods and so on).

Money is there, it is a matter of how patient one is, in this case you are able to buy weapons and blessings collecting nearly every useful item, but collecting slows down the game and may cause frustration.

  10. For what I know bosses may hit twice, even three times, but the most common difficulty/difference with Normal is that (all) foes are harder to defeat, because in fact they have more health.

Then you will also find out that same foes you defeated at first attempt on Normal become more dangerous if they survive your first or second attempt on Hard.

  11. Talked to Runner Faiga too? If so, maybe you better take another go because she is the one who gives you directions; in dialogue must appear a sentence like "Now the Dhorla Woods are on your World map".

Just in case you missed her: you can find her in a shed, take the first bridge on the left (coming from the monolyth), then turn right and follow the river, you can't miss it.

  12. Fighting the Big Red Boss in the arena, Moritzky tower, with a singleton Blademaster.

While cursed and surrounded by the second wave of titans, imps + Moritzky ghost... everyone simply disappeared, BRB vitality line turned blue as Blademaster's did.

The fight was for some reason resetted and the "empasse" dialogue was there.

Had to restart the fight as nothing happened before (and Blademaster terminated the ugly one and friends).

That was a bit strange event, wasn't it?
