  1. I'm playing through the game on hard, and I'm wondering what the exact difference between the different difficulties are. Is it just health amount and damage dealt, or is it more subtle mechanics involved? There's some bosses that takes two turns for every one of yours, is that a hard thing, or is it like that for all difficulties?
  2. Is there any way to post bug reports other than... here? I guess I could mail Jeff, but that seems kinda direct. What I want to report (windows) is the bug with enemies that die from poison or corruption - they get a move just before they die. This just caused a pit ogre seer (think that's what they're named - the ogre mages in Sevilin's quest) to throw something that looked like Spirit Claw as it died. No damage was done to my guys, and a text appeared at the bottom - it dissapeared before I could write it down, but it was along the lines of "unit_target thrown too soon" or something - clearly a testing fail printout from the engine. I think I've also seen monsters punch me and do damage before they died, but I'm not 100% sure of that.
  3. What walkthroughs? There's some for 3 and the later ones, but 1 and 2 is lacking in this area, as far as I can see.
  4. I've been using the search function for this, and I've come up with a lot of different answers. Basically, I want to know what makes me not lose AP from wearing heavy armour in the early avernum games (A1-A3 + blades). Is it: Defense? Hardiness? Strength? A combination? Different in different games? There seems to be some lack of clarity here. In A1, which I just played through, it seemed like defense did the trick, although it had to be boosted quite hard to meet the requirements. I'm also looking for some way to see what my encumberance is in the early games - I know there's a counter somewhere in the later ones, but what about 1-3?
