  2. People seem a little disbelieving. Is there maybe a way I can upload a save-file somewhere so that people can see for themselves? I would suggest that if you wanted to see if it is possible.. make a character as an Agent, don't make any pets until you get into the second region and then only ever make one pet. Kill EVERYTHING hostile that gives XP on the whole map, no matter how little. Do every quest you can possibly do without switching alliances to Rebel. Sell everything you can that you don't need. I'm pretty sure... by doing that you'll get to level 50. Unless somebody knows how to play without having a pet back them up. I think it's impossible to get past level 52 though.. mainly because there is nothing left to kill.
  3. Oh, the endgame on G5 was still pretty hectic compared to the earlier Geneforge series. I went in with a lot of pods and spores and 45 essence pods I'd managed to save up through the game without using and in that last section used nearly all of them.
  4. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter how many canisters you use in G5. I used just about every canister I came across and the only time I ever got an anger dialog was... Dera Bridge? Even then, you still get a choice on how to proceed. Also, even if it did have an effect... it's a feature of the game.. why would you want change it? Next you'll be wanting to change your character stats.

Keeping in mind that my character had next to no shaping skill at all and I only found one canister for a Drakon but had found a canister AND training for a Drayk. ----- Originally Posted By: Fflewddur Fflam son of Godo I can't stand next to that. . .I'm a one of those Diplomat/Pickpocket/Ninja builds, so I usually finish the games at about Level 28. But finishing on level 52?! No way. Well, I'm one of those people who have to kill just about everything that gives any sort of XP and do just about every quest possible. I usually like to play solo or with as few characters as possible. The downside to playing that way is it takes much longer. I think I finished the game at around 246 game days. Must of taken me about 3 weeks real time.
  6. Yeah I agree that I should not of once trained in shaping.. only I needed to make a Drayk and had sold all my gear with shaping bonuses at the time. Next time, I'll remember to keep them. I really only use mental magic for unlock and I use every battle blessing I can constantly.. on hindsight though, I could of done a bit less of both and more battle magic. The only thing I'm inclined to disagree with though is, as for the pet. I like my pet to live all the way through the toughest of fights and be able to never miss, never run away just because half it's HP's are gone or there are a few vlish around that can be easily killed. Also, if I was to have thought ahead and saved those bits of shaping gear... then I would not of been able to carry them around with me to remake a creation all the time. Oh and near the end of the game, I did a little test.. my Drayk ended up just as about as strong as a a freshly made Drakon but with a hell of a lot less Essence used.
  7. I just finished playing Geneforge 5 for the first time. I was just wondering how my character in the end, stands up to most peoples characters. I played as an Agent with one Pet... I made a Drayk when I found a canister to one.. before that, I hadn't made one creation as I was trying to ply solo. This is how my Character and Pet looked, stat wise, in the end. It would be nice to see how other peoples characters compared. Click to see my main character Click to see my pet I might play again, as a Shaper next probably.
  8. It would be nice to of had an extra few slots in G5 ... at least just to carry around those charms!
  9. The worst and the best characters in Geneforge would have to be the Player Characters. The PC is the one that makes everything happen... even the most Evil or most Good NPC wouldn't have things turn out how they want without the PC's help.
  10. Wow, being my first time playing Geneforge 5, I had no idea that you could get Essence-Infused Iron. If ever find a piece, I might save it on the chance of making one of those greaves. Firesteel Greaves would do me well.
  11. I meant to post this in the 'Geneforge 5' Section... is there a way to delete it?
  12. Somebody told me that you could make 'Smoking Gauntlets' by combining a pair of Gauntlets and 'Solidified Flame' and this was mean to be one of the most powerful artifact items. Well, I am wondering if anybody else noticed this combination: Shaped Gauntlets + Purifying Elixir = Perfected Gauntlets Perfected Gauntlets + Solidified Flame = Blazing Gauntlets. Blazing Gauntlets = +3 to all Battle Magic, except SpellCraft. Blazing Gauntlets + Pure Quicksilver = Same as Above and +3 to Creations Strength, Dexterity and Endurance. Then, finally Combine with Tiny Orb of Mist to get the 'Harder to Hit' Enhancement. So, in the end... it looks like this: ---------- Blazing Gauntlets Armour +9 +3 to Battle Magic +3 to Mental Magic +3 to Blessing Magic +3 to Strength of Creations +3 to Dexterity of Creations +3 to Endurance of Creations Enchancent: Harder to Hit ---------- This is the most useful item to me... as I am playing as an agent with only one creation, a Drayk.
  13. Oh thank you, the Librarian in the Faerie Bazaar had it... I must not of had enough Skill in the Spirit Circle when I first talked to them. Now I have all the spells, thanks.
  14. You need to get the first key from Titus in the circle warrens which lets you open the first gate. Then you go through one of the side gates by casting disrupt barrier. I played as a Celt and took the left gate... then I fought the giants, went all the way to the top corner, killed the giant chief and got another key from him. The second key allows you to go through the north gate back at the beginning of the Warrens. When you fight Titus, try taking him out right away, a couple of Heartshocks and a few pokes with a sword/spear should do it in one or two rounds... otherwise you'll end up having to fight everything he summons. Oh and did anybody else get a little confused with the other guy with the same name, Titus?
  15. I am playing as Celts and am just about ready to enter Annwn to find the Crown. However, I just realized that I seem to have a problem... for some reason, I do not have the spell ''Disrupt Spirit'' even though I've trained my stats high enough. Does anybody know where abouts you are meant to learn the spell, Disrupt Spirit?
