  1. I always thought that the creatures primal stat [ the stat that the creations attacks get power from. for example, strength for a thahd] does this even have an effect?
  2. Avernum 1 was probably disliked for the fact that it was a bit primative [ thanks for the help dad] in its graphics and overall plot-line. Also due to it being the first in the series, it had odd controls, and I spent hours trying to figure out how to open a door.
  3. It's always a good idea to 1. survey the surrounding area for levers or switches. 2. look inside pots and vats for answers. and 3. talk to nearby characters.
  4. What the heck, there are Ornk canisters? What do you use Orks for, meat?
  5. I usually balance my party out with two Battle alphas, two Vlish, and Three cryo-drakes by end game
  6. I think It was only If you were a taker. In my run-throughs they only acted differently when I played as a taker, But it might have had something to do with a different aspect of the game. I'm overall quite confused
  7. I love the spell holy fire. how 'bout you.
  8. Which character would be best for a person to lay waste to the game and leave nothing living?
  9. I have to say, overall, the bow is by far my favorite weapon in avernum 4. My archers, which I beef up with lots of training, are always behind an object, casting spells and occasionally landing a very nice, solid kill.
  10. I usually focus my team this way. Human sorcerer- I do this because the humans are not very good warriors, and I want at least one in my party. Slithzerikai warrior- This is because I base my party around the Slithzerikai, as they are hardy and good on the offensive. Plus, I like to have one pole-man in the group. Nifilim rogue- I do this mainly to have a balance of all my weapons, as this character serves a wide spectrum of purposes according to what I plan to accomplish. I also get an added bonus with the tool use and nature lore skill, which overall has me in a good mood. Nefilim Archer- the nefilim archer serves a large variety of purposes, but most of all I just like to keep my archer back on the sidelines, Shooting arrows like the devil and occasionally using a heal spell to nudge the team closer to winning.
  11. You mean clawbug, don't you. I know this is out of the blue, but where the heck do you get the ability to shape a ornk, and in what game? I have been for so long trying to find odd tricks, glitches, and secrets. If anyone can help, please post or send a private message.
  12. Guys, there are a large amount of recipes in Geneforge 4. I need to know where the anvils are, what the artifacts are, what the ingredients are, etc. Please, this will be a big help to my game play. I will also, from time to time, I will post to you about my occasional opinions.
  13. Yeah, But reaper thorns are hard to find. and the baton comes really late in the game
  14. I think that there's a charm that increases your intellect back there, but there's a price. i just cant remember the price. its either battle magic or endurance reductions.
  15. Hey llloyd fix that short attension span of yours. thats the first sign that you might suffer from amnesia.
  16. Actually, Dikiyoba, the wands and rings are quite useful. i have found that those rings can actually deflect a lot more than they should. I have a character that blocks half of enemy attacks because of the deflection band. Also, with the right statistics, the wands can become more powerful than the master spells that my agent uses. Also, I think the scales can be used to make artifacts, though i am not quite certain.
  17. remember, always eventually switch to the shapers side. they will win
  18. melt an eighth of a stick of butter and dumbp it on the popcorn and i garantee a good flavor
  19. Also any spells that increase your health or make you resistant to acid and poison are a must have.
  20. Thats were it was. gah! i kept on looking in his back room
  21. And remember, glowy means tasty. [this is not supposed to make sense.]
  22. Well i guess if you drive all the enemies to the turrets they could wipe out a large group of enemies, but other than that the turrets are pointless
  23. The Areas are as follows. 1. starting area to shaper gates. 2.Shaper gates to fens. 3. fens to Drakon lands[ whoohoo drakons. 4. Drakon lands to the end of the game.
  24. Canisters that gave experience or skill points would be useless. if those were made, people would stop killing creations for experience, and thus THE WORLD FALLS INTO CHAOS.
