So: Does every character need to have (some) food in their inventory? Or does just one character need to carry around food, and all 4 characters will be covered by that? (And, if this is so, does it have to be your first character who carries the food in his/her inventory, or can it be any of the four?) TIA.

Jyri Probably upstairs (if you nabbed the downstairs one already) - apparently grabbing the upstairs painting is finicky, as others around here have had trouble with it: make sure you stand on every grid-square upstairs until you trigger the "You get a painting..." pop-up dialogue box.
  4. I have to say, that happened to me as well. I'm not sure if it was Adrenaline Rush, or one of the other Battle Disciplines - but when I put it into my Quick Button Bar (for spells & BDs), it showed up as Well-Aimed Blow, so two of my four buttons for that character looked they were both Well-Aimed Blow! (I think I ended up replacing it later with a spell that that character learned because I found having that button icon twice too confusing...)

But getting past the spawns was an issue, and I might not have bothered finishing that one if I hadn't read exactly the best way to take down the Lich. (Lich Kavarus is much harder than the earlier Lich you meet (below near Cotra?...).) Anyway, I got through the Lich, but I'm close enough to the end that I'm skipping finishing the Refuge Gazer and Demon quests. (I think the latter may be the hardest side-quest in the game!) So I'd rate these two quests as pretty hard as well. In case anyone wants a 'non-power player's' view of the game...
  6. OK, I've got a question about one item from Synergizer's List: Originally Posted By: Synergy EASTERN GALLERY 6 FROM BELOW: —— PASSAGE TO SKELETAL RUINS - ? Or am I missing something?! - Because I keep looking for a "broken" passage leading in the direction of the Skeletal Ruins, and I'm not finding one!! (BTW - thanks to everyone involved in the effort to put together this list! Lists like these are invaluable!! )

In the full items list, I think I counted at least 20 Fine Leathers, but I'm almost at the end of the game and I only have 9 saved Fine Leathers. (I'm trying to figure out if I sold some earlier, or if I just missed a bunch as I went along. I think I used 3-4 in earlier crafting experiments...) Also, am I correct that you never need Bolts of Cloth for anything? (It's too bad there's not a 'crafter' for cloth cloaks and robes... ) TIA.

Kreador, I just did this quest yesterday - you have to be standing on a specific, certain spot (square) upstairs to get the second painting, IIRC. I think I had to move around that upstairs room a little bit to get the "You got a painting..." dialogue box. It might have been the one square to the left of the table with the bones on it (south wall, upstairs). Or it might have been one of the squares next to the two beds right up against the north wall. But if you stand on the right square, you should pick up the second painting.
  9. Awesome! That totally worked - popped that line into Dharmon's script, and viola! Thanks a bunch, Randomizer! You're a life saver!!
  10. OK, so I sold the Demonslayer sword after finishing the X/Haakai quest, but before I got Lark's final quest. (I took me forever to do the Tenevra/Vahnatai quests! - I took me multiple, multiple attempts before I could defeat Dagas-Ihrno in Rentar-Ihrno's Keep!!) Anyway, I didn't realize that I'd need it later, and once Demonslayer was broken at the end of X's Anvil spell, it didn't seem like it was worth keeping, so I sold it to the Castle's quartermaster. But now, of course, I've just finished the Crystal Shards quest, and Demonslayer is gone, and there was no dialogue option for me to let Lark know that I already sold the thing just downstairs from her!! So, is there any way (by the editor, or otherwise...) I can fix this mistake, or am I now hosed on Lark's final quest ('cos, at this point, I ain't going back over the last quarter of the game just to get it back!!)?! TIA for any help on this one...

I didn't try this, but I'm wondering - if you are able to fight your way out of Formello, after the arena fight, and kill all the slith on the way, does that save the Formello pylon? Because, I agree, it would be cool if you could pop into Formello via its pylon, any time you wanted, after the fact...
  12. Jeff, Did you see (or receive an E-mail about) the possible bug in the Skunky Joe quest, mentioned in this thread?
  13. Hey, Randomizer - I notice the spellbook for 'Unshackle Mind' is missing from this list. According to the 'SYNERGIZER LIST', the 'Unshackle Mind' speelbook (AL 7) is part of the Seleeass’s Scrolls/Rescue Treviass quests - in fact, it's in the same room as Seleeass’s Scrolls (I actually remember this!...). Anyway, FYI, for completeness.

I think it's always been slated for 2009 since I've been hanging around there. Originally it was something like Q3 of 2009, then it was Q4, and now it's looking more like Q1 of 2010. Basically, they're about 6 months later than originally planned - I don't consider that a horrible delay in my book.

  16. In looking over this board, I've seen some advice to not buy spell levels, but I've also seen some people council buying levels of at least some of the early spells (e.g. Bolt of Fire, Minor Heal). So my question is - what spells, if any, are worth buying levels in (and which ones aren't)? Will buying levels of Bolt of Fire really increase the damage it inflicts (and, if so, by how much)? Will buying levels of Minor Heal really increase the HPs restored (and, if so, by how much)? Will buying levels of 'area of effect' spells like Icy Rain, Lightening Spray, et al. really increase the damage they do? And, conversely, does buying levels in spells like Minor Summon and Summon Shade, or the Cloak/Ward spells, or (esp.) Dispel Barrier, really accomplish absolutely nothing? Also, if buying spell levels does little to no good, what is the best thing to invest in instead? Intelligence? Mage/Priest levels? I'd be cool if there was a definitive (numerical) answer to these questions. Anyway, TIA, if anyone knows the answers - while it probably won't help my current game, it might help any time I decide to replay A6 down the road!
