Last year here in Vegas I got snowed on in mid April. Not that it actually stayed for more than a few seconds, but...weather is a crazy thing.

I'd say the best way to improve and differentiate the skills would be to have Battle Disciplines specific to each combat type along with the general disciplines.

This is the problem with archers. You will need some melee skills to get Adrenaline Rush anyway, so you can go a bit up Hardiness and Parry if you want, or Priest Spells, or Tool Use and Cave Lore.

Why do you say you will need some melee skills to get Adrenaline Rush? One of the parties I played for fun was two melee fighters, an archer, and a hedge wizard (priest/mage combo). The archer reached every battle discipline without a single point on the melee side of the tree. And, AR can actually be more useful for an archer than a melee fighter, as you can hit a wider range of targets without the need to move. With the melee characters, I'd get them into position to have multiple targets, then activate AR and get three attacks. With the archer, I could get 4 attacks each time, 5 if Battle Frenzy was up and the first shot was a half-cost sniper shot. When I was using Cloak of Bolts, before I could get to Cloak of Blades, the Archer was often my most effective fighter. Certainly was very helpful against any enemy that puts up a spine shield.

Of course, I was just playing on Normal. I'm not terribly interested in Torment difficulty and total optimization. The one thing I wish Jeff would do for archers was allow the characters to get the skill that some of the enemy Elite Archers get to spray arrows across an area.

If you really need both the Cloak of the Arcane and the Ward of Elements and you don't have the spells and don't want to use scrolls you can get the Ward in the Castle and take a boat to go to the pool near Formello without entering any towns or forts. It is tedious, but I used it for the Spectral Commander once when I was low on consumables.

An easier way to get both is in the Shattered Fort or whatever it's called west of the Tower of Magi. There's an altar there near the entrance that gives Cloak of the Arcane and Ward of Elements together.

First you have to talk to Entwhistle, behind the secret door in the smithy. Ask him what there is to steal, and he'll direct you to Scab, who you'll find in the audience part of the arena. He'll direct you from there.

I didn't remember Entwhistle saying anything about Scab. I thought it was only the Scimitar agent who mentioned him.
  7. You can pick a fight with her if you have first gathered the information about bandits near Fort Saffron, but you don't actually need to fight her to get to the circlet. There's another way, but to get all of the information you need without fighting her you have to be a member of Scimitar first. Then you get to talk to a series of people to gather the information necessary (and have a few fights).
