Okay, I edited the script so you can order the stupid soldier to open the gates when you outrank him. You only meet this condition if you skipped the quest the first time and are affected by the bug.

If you have this problem, place the following code in /Avernum 6/Avernum 6 Files/Scripts/z07westexcadlg.txt

...yeah, doesn't look like there's a way in. I even got the Anama quest to talk with the Western Excavation commander and the guard still won't let me pass, so that's two quests I can't complete.

How would I report this? Does Jeff read the boards?

I completed the other quests in the second tier and now want to finish the Western Excavation. Unfortunately, the guard at the dig site won't let me in because I don't have orders.

The game said I could still do this quest, so how do I get past this guy? Thanks!
