  1. Without spoiling the plot, at what point in the game is it too late for me to go back and finish up companion quests or clear out old areas? Does it flat-out tell you, like in the endgame of A1?
  2. A fair point. This is an interesting development; there's really no "good" choice here.
  3. ...the mayor of Troezen to someone? Killing him would cause more problems than it'd solve, but letting him walk completely free after what he did is just wrong.
  4. Okay, so the basin's probably not a big deal. I feel bad about letting Ibu die, but assuming he doesn't appear again it's probably not worth replaying a whole zone to save him.
  5. I inadvertently left the zone in between talking to Watcher Ibu and killing the zephyr, result being that he was dead by the time I got back to the tower. Also, I drank from the cauldron downstairs in that tower, thinking it might be one of those vitality-restoring drinks, but a couple minutes later realized I'd been warned repeatedly not to drink anything in The Corruption. I have another save file from an hour or so previously, and am considering reloading from there to fix those mistakes. I was wondering if anyone who's played later in the game could give me a yes/no answer about whether those two things will make enough of a difference to bother redoing that much game.

  7. Now I'm torn: do I want to play as a teleporting ninja and be awesome, or play as someone else so that I can read the ninjas dialog?
  8. I have a vague memory of killing all the Awakened troops guarding the fort and letting the Takers slip away, but they don't seem to stop being hostile no matter who I slay. Am I thinking of a different area, or something?

Nothing can touch me, but my hit chance with melee weapons seems to be pretty horrible also.
  10. The site told me to download version 1.0.2 to fix this bug, but the file it linked to - Geneforge2.demo.bin - doesn't seem to do anything. Am I missing something? Also, while I'm thinking of it, does anyone remember what sort of leadership and mechanics I should aim for?
  11. -Attacking Rawal before removing the control tool -Angering Ghaldring during the assault on the citadel -Angering the council during your meeting -Tampering with Purity without disabling the door-closing thing Are there any others? I've heard something about an ending you get if you anger every single faction, but I haven't been able to find it yet.
  12. If you stick with him for a while rather than ditching the control tool, does he ever tell you anything new about yourself or give you any cool stuff, or does he just keep you in the dark?
  13. Well, there are some things that can mess you up, but it feels like, on average, defense became way more powerful than offense in this game. The amount of hits it takes to kill one thing seems way, way higher in this game than in previous ones.
  14. Compared to the other four games in the series, characters in this one seem to last forever. Even on low difficulties it feels like enemies take far too long to kill, and even on high difficulties it seems like my characters are immortal.
  15. Back where you first found her, at the north exit of Rawal's area.

So I might as well drain Ghaldring for all he's worth and dump him, since I only lose access to one zone?
  17. I was wondering if it's wise to use only a couple creations towards the beginning of the game, so that the PC doesn't lose experience to creations that'll eventually be absorbed, or if the experience drop is too negligible to bother with.
  18. Does leaving a faction make them attack-on-sight? I mean, are there towns and areas I could explore if I never joined Ghaldring that'd become off-limits if I joined him and then switched to Litalia?
