ok thanks, really i need to know if it will do the same for battle magic as well as pysical attacks.
-
i have a item that gives me +4 levels damage in combat, what exactly does this mean.
-
for once id have liked to you know.... actually be a student in the academy and not just " boom, everyones dead but you, ill guess ill just have to become uber-powerfull on my own.
-
geneforge 5 is an amazeing game and it toatally worth the money spent, wait, make that the geneforge series.
- you probaly shouldint write your end like that as alorael might become angry.
-
well if thats the case whats the point in ever having a battle creation if the others are just better, something like the thade(am i spelling that right), simple cannon fodder.
-
ahhh, that must be what i had heard.
-
a tv series! there are only 5 geneforge games if you were to put that into a tv series it would mean wildly deviating from the story line just to fill in a half hour/hour period.
-
the only way i could see that working would be if the rot/alpha backed the eyebeast/drayk into a wall and they were forced to use their meelee attack.
-
i think we were useing armor in the context of... well... armor, not as in equipment.
-
but if you dont get hit then armor is useless.

You can get out of it. You have to talk to him about Salassar and point out that Ghaldring is trying to trick him into a fight he can't win.
you can also tell him that drakons are supeior to humans/serviles. the downside being that you cant join Ghaldring's faction if you do. -
a vlish's fagility doesint really matter because vlish are not used on the front line, they have a missile attack for a reason.

thanks i think i'll try the pumping intelligence.
ps. i'm not sure were i heard it but i remember hearing that if you get a shaper skill to level 10 you get some kind of bonus, true, false, just out of curiosity.

because i guess i stumbled across a hot topic i've decided to make a formal thread here.
when i said movie i was saying it in a loose way, i actually had more of the mini series idea going, and then there ARE some movies that last for like 6 hours(trust me i know)
-
ok well i guessed i stumbled across a great topic, ill be introducing a new topic on the genefroge movie idea.
ps. sorry angel spddin on commandering your thread

now that i think about it you are partially correct, wingbolts dominate, but overall magic creations was nerfed.
-
ok thx for the quick response. well here it goes....
i rarely play as anything but a shaper.
i put the most of my skill points into battle magic and mental magic(i normally have a average of 10-12, and 8-10 with items)
i almost never improve my shaping skills,
i always get my leadership and mechanical to at least 12 by endgame,
and i sparingly put points into strength(4-6 at most) and endurance(same)
i never really improve my meelee skills.

i have been randomly trawling the forum and i've noticed that people seem to be able to create a whole bunch of powerful creations(EX: 4 tralls, 3 gazers, ETC). i can only aussume that your useing a shaper/lifecrafter to do this but still.... i've never been able to do this(though admittingly i prefer 1 or 2 beefed up creations). im just wondering for you who do this what is your average intelligence(counting items),i normally average 10(give or take a few)intelligence a game, is that way too low for a shaper?
-
in GF5 the battle creations have been slightly beefed(in my opinion) as i belive magic creations dominated GF 1-3 in my books and fire creations in GF4.
-
including enchantments, i would say the venomblade plus a golden crystal. you get poison plus damage.
-
ive always thought that maybe there could be like a geneforge prequl(how do you spell that) that features the shapers before they conquer terrestia, ex: vs the woods people of mera.
-
i've always entertained a geneforge movie so mmo is far closer to reality
-
huh ive never thought of the stoneworks as particularly hard.
my advice is beef up your mechanics and go for melee( or if shaper make melee creatures)the golems have great elemental resistance so any magics kinda sucks. and get the controllable golems they'll save your life.

(gulp) t..t..t.. thanks
