I just started playing the geneforge series, and i'm guessing that the battles are similar in each one, so I have a question about attack points..

I chose a shaper, and every turn he has 2 attack points. I need 3 to do anything useful with him, and i've been trying to find how to increase my attack points online and on the in-game guide. I think it's something to do with dexterity and less weight that my character carries, but am not completely sure.

Please help!
