  1. My level. Nothing special, just a point into armor. Click to reveal.. DANA TEMPLETON Level 2 Second Foundation Agent STATISTICS: Strength - 4 Dexterity - 2 Coordination - 3 Intelligence - 4 Endurance - 2 SKILLS: Weapon (Nuclear Blade) - 4 Weapon (Needlegun) - 3 Mental - 3 Bluff - 3 Stealth - 1 Armor - 2 ATTRIBUTES: Health - 14 Speed - 4 Stamina - 11 Energy - 4 Dodge - 8% That leaves me with 3 points for the bank. I'd like to up my weapon skills further, but I can't do until next time. Or who knows, if we find an exciting new melee weapon, I could use those points to become proficient in it nice and quickly. If one of you happens upon something cool like that (since looting seems to occur mostly in secret), don't hold out on Dana! I'll totally trade you for it. And it'll be good for the party, as well. Though not so much for our enemies. Hope the next session will be planed soon!

  3. Well, the big issue is probably going to be the programable buttons. If you want a mouse with more than the two (sometimes three) standard buttons, you'll probably have a hard time finding one for under twice the amount you're willing to spend.
  4. The mouse that came with my old Mac did not have dual click, so I bought a really nice Logitech black wired mouse. I eventually tried the wireless mighty mouse when I got a newer Mac but I actually noticed a slight bit of lag while doing more mouse intensive gaming (FSPs and WoW). I ended up switching back to my old black mouse. It has a two buttons and a scroll wheel, which is all I ever needed. It is fairly old (though still optic), and after a quick search I am unable to find any pictures of it online, there seem to be dozens of Logitech mouses, but none are what I have. I'd recommend something simple, and wires aren't so bad, especially since it means never having to change the batteries. Edit: Found it! My mouse. Apparently, it's a classic.
  5. Or are you from Salem, and it's from all the witches they pulled out of the lake?

    Odd weather...

It's gonna suck when all that glorious black gold in the gulf begins to cause the water to heat up and we start suffering from oil induced hurricanes. Only humanity could ever come up with that one, oil induced hurricanes. We're so awesome. I mean, we're just too cool to wait for the greenhouse effect to take effect, we need some of that climate changing goodness as soon as possible. Is there anything oil can't do?
  7. I would have written the best backstory anyway . I'd like to write one now, but I'd also like to read at least some of the book(s) first. I don't suppose they're old enough to just be online somewhere for free?
  8. Democracy is not very effective when it comes to world interests because the very nature of Western democracy sees to the interests of the individual. It ensures that the desires of each person or small communities of people are equally represented, and so the needs of the whole are often lost. Madison wrote about this at length, calling it the problem of factions. As a result, we have a bad habit of ignoring the long term or the greater good because every small faction in Western democracy is trying further their own agenda and thus things that should be obvious fall by the wayside. An enlightened dictatorship could solve this problem, but has one of those ever existed? No, and I doubt even our advanced technology level would allow for one.
  9. That actually articulated my feelings as well, Student of Trinity. By 'nicer' I suppose I mean 'more useful.'
  10. The story and such look awesome. I just wish, and have been wishing for several games now, that explored land would be a different color on the minimap. It would look so much nicer.
  11. At this point, it looks like we still need a Pilot/Gunner type, otherwise space battle will probably own us hard. Someone with Diplomacy or City/Survival skills would be useful as well. A well balanced party is a happy party!
  12. Cool. I kind of want to wait until others post their characters, though, so I don't make one that's redundant. That okay?

Beck annoys me mostly because for every one of him that exists, real prophets will be taken that much less seriously when they arrive. They better be able to do magic like Jesus so we can tell if they're the real thing, or we're all doomed.

  15. PvP gear is the most casual route to nice gear. Just put in a few hours a day for a few weeks helping out in battlegrounds and you can have a bunch of nice stuff to show for it. Nothing fancy, but it does still look pretty fancy. All the real fun was in leveling, anyway, in my opinion.
  16. Really casual player, did lots of battlegrounds for the armor set, otherwise I usually just grind rep in my spare time. No raids, no arena. I really just don't play enough to do either of those things well.
  17. Nice, I made the only other Ghaldring on the Armory a while ago, and you're already higher than him! Good luck with your pally. My other Avernum related character. <3 the animations you can scroll through on that site.
  18. I haven't really been following Mote, how much longer do you think it will run?
  19. If a sci-fi RP is half as cool as this comic makes it look, I'll try it.
