  1. Gahh. I went brain dead when voting for G4. I was gonna click on Shock Trooper but somehow went to Infiltrator. D: Shaper for G1-G3 and Lifecrafter for G5. I like my Shaping. >_o
  2. An alternative, if you change your mind and decide to go for Shaper, is to jack your Mechanics up to 12 and then sneak into Rawal's room and steal yourself a Shaper Robe. It also pretty much frees you from putting any more points into Mechanics, as 12'll pretty much get you through everywhere, and even if it doesn't the few Infiltrator items you pick up along the way should cover it.
  3. I personally prefer to steal the fish and meat that're left for the creation guards.
  4. I did a little search through the forum and I can't seem to find any specific mention of this pair of Lodestone Gauntlets that I've stumbled upon. It was dropped by one of two cryodrayks that I managed to stop from rushing into Perikalia from the Perikalia Orchards. It gives +9% Armour, -1 Strength, -1 Dexterity, +10% hostile resist and +4 Spellcraft. It also sells for a very very sassy price of 1000. Thoughts on how to best utilise this? I'm on a second Lifecrafter/Shaper run - this time a Shaper with rebellious tendencies, as opposed to a Lifecrafter with loyalist leanings :3 - but I don't see it as terribly useful. I'm wearing the Shaper Robe and Dancing Pants, so I've got a healthy weight margin. I'm wearing the Gauntlets of Succor right now, so I guess the question is whether +4 Spellcraft is loads more useful than +1 Mental Magic - without which I won't be able to cast Essence Shackles, which isn't a terribly great loss IMHO. I've never been one to delve into the mathcraft side of games, just merely intrigued by the additional option on this occasion. As an aside, initial impressions is that this is a rather rare item, and I'm wondering if anyone's got this, and how often. This is about my seventh or eighth run through and only my first time getting it (would've been far more useful on my Agent, I'd expect).
  5. Yeahh, my bad. Didn't read the question properly and thought up of the wrong scenario. I don't think I ever had a living tool problem though due to getting Unlock early and just using that to save up on the 1-2 living tool situations. Could always go the old fashioned route and blow everything up you see. I think that's what I did when I went down there. :3 And like Dikiyoba said, make sure you've done everything you wanted to do in Zephyr Oasis before you blow up the Spire (ie. all the quests, I never got rewarded for killing Bennhold ;___
  6. Alternatively you could always boost Mechanics via skill points - if you could spare some - and equipment.
  7. The human merchant dude in Penta for 75 bucks a piece and Rebel rep or if you wanna hold onto them longer then you can give them to Shaper Alexie in Fort Defiance for 100 (I think, don't remember) plus Shaper rep.
  8. I'm not sure about Ghaldring's, 'cause I quit his by the time I killed Platano, but I'm pretty sure you can kill him while with any other faction (even while with Taygen? That's one thing to try), so long as you have the quest from Rawal.
  9. IMHO it's the Rebel ending too, and not only for its endgame - the leadup to it for me was just as hard. I dunno about the rest of you, Alwan was the only Shaper I could be sneaky with, I pretty much had to storm all of the other strongholds to get to their respective Shapers - including Zephyr Oasis which meant that I didn't get rewarded for killing Bennhold that particular time.
  10. Zomfg it works, but it's locked me into Astoria. DD: Thanks loads anyway.
  11. Hi guys, brand spanking new account, but I've been lurking on and off in between the spurts when I've played the games. I do have a problem now though: I'm at the Shaper Citadel. I proceed in to meet the Shaper Council, all fine and dandy, blew up anything and everything that stood in my way. However, when I actually get to meet the Shaper Council, I only get to the point where I'm asked to approach (the fourth window of text since entering the Shaper Citadel, where Rawal stares to see if you've still got the controoundl tool or not). After that, the whole game screws up. For some reason, my guy and creations just turn around and walks out of the hall, but at like half a frame per second rate. Once I get out of the hall, I get the Kill Ghaldring quest popup, but then the game just freezes. Occasionally I get a nonresponsive crash from Windows, but otherwise I have to kill the game myself. I've tried this a couple of times already, and it keeps repeating. I'm wondering if this could be related to my current in-game situation. I got the Shaper Citadel mission from Alwan while currently in Astoria's faction (I had just joined Astoria's faction, but completed Alwan's Purifying Agent quest, went back to Alwan who then gave me the Citadel quest). Any sort of solution would be extremely appreciated. I've clocked consecutive days on this file and my last meaningful backup file was when I was still with the Rebels trying to kill Alwan (my little Lifecrafter's had quite a twisted journey, yes...o___o").
