  1. Typically torment with deliberately ridiculously bad solo builds, and no creations, ever. I don't know why; I'm not even a masochist.
  2. Apparently there are many ways to get Rots, but what is the fastest way to get at least one point in to it? From Strategy Central, it has been listed at: Canister - West Passes Trainers - Haria-Kel - Astoria Faction Only Stormhold - After Alwan's Secret Laboratory Quest Abandoned Farms Gazaki-Uss - Ghaldring Faction Only Zephyr Oasis Dera South Shore Thanks in advance.

  5. Both work as advertised, but I have just one suggestion: For the signpost reset reputation, it would be much smarter to reset the value to 100 (neutral) instead of 0 (distinctly rebel). That could save a lot of time if you intend to play around with the system. Otherwise, it runs with no problems. Thank you for the quality applications.

  7. Make sure you have at least 1 point in Luck for those random drops, which you no doubt know but may have glanced over in your specific playthrough.
  8. Don't you just pay the trainer to train you in QA if you need earlier turns? I don't remember G4 or G5 (I used QA), but I know for sure at least in G1 & G3 that I never raised Dex / QA at all with my singleton Agent, and I always acted first.

I did know that in advance (Shaper rampages just seemed too easy, Dazing everything in sight was simply boring), but I wasn't quite sure of the damage buildup of damage levels for Melee Weapons (1-4?) - otherwise, I think I would be somewhat more successful. I have beaten most of the Geneforge games on Torment in both cookie-cutter and avant-garde builds, and I was simply trying something that I knew would be suicidal and plain stupid. However, I still am mystified as to how I get stunlocked so easily, 100% of the time.

If making a couple of sacrificial creations to get you through areas with stunning enemies really offends against your sensibilities, you might just have to leadership/mechanics/stealth your way through or around those zones. For turrets, make sure you're only in range of one at a time. With good armour, one hit from a submission turret probably won't stunlock you, but two hits certainly will. What have you been putting all your skill points into if you're a servile with no magic, no creations and no Parry? I was trying an epic laughs damagemonger glass cannon build (nothing of the typical Torment survival stuff - No Endurance, Mental Magic, Creations, Canisters etc.) That is why I have Strengh, QA & Melee Weapons all around 15, which I wanted to try because I heard one of the prongs of diminishing returns was removed in G5. Sadly, it didn't work so well. My Stun Resistance is over 50%, but for some reason the permanent stun would always proc even when I made sure only to fight a single turret/glaahk at a single moment. I reloaded endlessly, and I simply can not maintain purity to kill everything while being purist (no creations). And kill everything I definitely need - levels are extremely important. I just didn't bother with Parry the entire game because of how hard its been nerfed since G2. I'd much rather have Anatomy for some damage, but hey, more skill points into skills that actually do damage. Winning fights have been mostly geared around getting the QA strike and finger dexterity - that is abusing combat mode to run around corners to casts 5 buffs and 10 heals. Stats for Reference: http://i41.tinypic.com/29pdwsz.jpg ^ That is an older saved game with my Infiltrator gear equipped - also without my Thahdskin Tunic, Agent's Shelter, etc. Granted, I did make a lot of mistakes. I accidentally saved over the points of Mental Magic I bought from a Trainer (which is practically useless for me, considering my Mechanics level and magic near-purity). I haven't saved much because I've only allocated 4 slots to this particular PC. I suppose I'll be more careful next time.
  11. Oddly I recall somehow talking to the priest without touching the pillars in order - perhaps my memory failed me, but it would be nice if someone could confirm that this is possible.
  12. In G3, I played a Singleton Agent that went well beyond 10. I had Battle Magic at around 16-20 (items), and Spellcraft somewhere near that. Daze is so overpowered that I invested a big fat 0 into Endurance, and the only other skills I invested in were Intelligence, Luck, Leadership, and Mechanics. I was rewarded with a 2000 damage threshold on Essence Orbs against a standard group enemies on the 5th Island. This is all on Torment, mind you, and I did complete the whole game with 100% area clearing.
  13. How about on Torment and actually getting 100% Zone clearing?

  15. I play a solo Servile without (minimum) magic and no creations, no canisters. However, what can I do to combat perma-stunners? (Submission turrets, Servant Minds, Glaahks). My Daze has a ~10% chance of affecting them (*no* magic, and I'm against using Daze in the first place), and I bring it upon myself to not use crystals nor ranged weaponry. This is Torment, and I get slaughtered in very few turns, as Parry doesn't proc (never put a point into it). Thanks in advance.
