  1. Oh fail. I imported the Captain and Soldier creatures, but used a small-template graphic. I didn't change that line. Mah bad.
  2. Oh goddamnit. In the scenario, the PCs move from the room they start in and into another room. In this room, BoA decides to give unhandled exceptions. Non-reproducible. >. I'm using a custom graphic in there, but the graphic displays fine.
  3. Thanks Salmon. I was trying but unable to create a new scenario, checked this thread for ideas, and your suggestion worked perfectly.
  4. I'm on Windows. I noticed when I was installing the game that there is naturally no BladesofAvernumPrefs.dat file in my Data folder. I copied the one from my registered game over to the unregistered game and that didn't help. I tried reinstalling, and saw the same thing: there was no BladesofAvernumPrefs.dat file, even after I adjusted my preferences. But Vogel sent me a new registration code, so I'm capable of running it now. And yeah, Vista doesn't play well with BoA. I tried to unzip the editor, and my unzipping program told me it was encountering an error when creating the folder that the BoAE unzips into. I naturally assumed that it was all Vista's fault, and indeed it was. For anyone who may find this useful, you'd need to turn off "User Account Control" in the Control Panel to get rid of this problem.
  5. Copying the suggested files is disappoint, to say the least. Originally Posted By: Thuryl Originally Posted By: Goodbye World MOve your entire installed BoA onto your flash drive. I have a registered copy of the game, and I still considered pirating it. *Sigh*
  6. I have a registered copy of Blades of Avernum on one computer, a newly installed and unregistered version on another computer, and a USB stick. I've tried copying everything imaginable, and nothing seems to work. No file will magically make my game registered. Not BladesofAvernumData.dat, not any of the irunin files. I tried copying over the whole exe file too, then the entire folder with everything in it. Does anyone have any advice how to get my game registered? I already e-mailed Jeff Vogel, but I want to have a way to register my copies myself so I don't have to bother sending an e-mail. It's, uh... too much work.
