  2. I loved it. The plot was engaging. The design was good (except for a few minor flaws). The combat was well-balanced and very fun, with great original enemies. I loved the Dread Chickens especially. My only complaints are the bugs, including one that forced me to edit the scripts in order to trigger the ending. However, the bugs are mostly small and overall it's a great scenario. Rating: [rating]Best[/rating]
  3. I just emailed you my report. Sorry I took so long.
  4. Personally I have absolutely no belief that the world will end in 2012. First off, most people only believe this because they think it was predicted by ancient Maya. According to Wikipedia, Quote: Predictions of impending doom are not found in any of the extant classic Maya accounts, and that the idea that the Long Count calendar "ends" in 2012 misrepresents Maya history. Astronomers and other scientists have rejected the apocalyptic forecasts as pseudoscience, stating that the anticipated events are contradicted by simple astronomical observations. Quote: We have no record or knowledge that the [Maya] would think the world would come to an end" in 2012. In my opinion this is just a misunderstanding of the actual Maya predictions.
  5. I can also help test if needed. I'm using Mac, and my email is manbehindthecurtain.n-at-gmail-dot-com.
  6. Well so far since we have no entrants, I'm waiting at least one before I set a deadline, to make sure we get a good number of scenarios. I've also been putting off my scenario, so I'm also trying to do something last-minute.
  7. I hadn't realized Warrior's Grove was missing light sources... it might be easier for everyone just to allow torches as a free terrain so you can add as much light to the town as you need.
  8. Just emailed both of you with the account password. Three judges should be enough, since that's almost as many participants as we have.
  9. Dantius, I emailed you the password for the contest email account. If anyone else wants to judge, we're going to need more than one person.
  10. Quote: When exactly is this contest over? Early August, depending on how much time everyone needs.
  11. Just a heads up, the contest begins tomorrow. Good luck everyone! Edit: I've made an email account on gmail for the judging. The address is warriorsgrove@gmail.com and all entries should be sent to that address. Anyone who wants to volunteer to judge, post here and I'll PM you the password.
  12. Quote: Can I please just replace the edge grass tiles with basic no-frills grass, or does each of those still count? It's gonna drive me insane. Sure, I don't see the harm in that.
  13. Okay, so that brings us up to five people? And if I have the time to make my own entry, that makes six. Does anyone have a problem if the deadline has to be extended to somewhere around August 8 because of all the delays? We could start as soon as tomorrow.
  14. Well, since today's the day the contest was going to start and we still only have 3 confirmed entrants, I think the contest is going to have to be postponed indefinitely until more people are available.
  15. @Handyman: The only edits that count towards your 5 are edits of the terrain and graphics. If you want to get rid of the special encounter to leave the scenario, you're free to do so. However, getting rid of the cart would count as two terrain changes so you might as well just leave it as decoration for the town. As for the spider problem, you could either add another blocked square, or get rid of the spider and webs entirely, since those are both free changes. Those of you who expressed interest in joining but haven't yet replied if the days work for you, please do.
  16. So, I'm going to assume since there were no replies that the dates just didn't work for anyone else? Obviously the contest will need to be postponed now, what do you guys think about going from around the 10th of July to the 30th?
  17. My proposed time frame is from Saturday, June 25 to Sunday, July 17. Does this work for all of you who are planning on entering?
  18. Since I'm likely going to be missing a few weeks in July, it looks like June will be the best option. How about starting June 9th and ending June 30th? Is this good for anyone else who was planning on entering? We're obviously going to need a few more entrants.
  19. That depends on everyone's schedule. My plan was to have the contest go for three weeks, or even a whole month. I was thinking some time in May or June. For everyone who's interested in participating, when works best for you?
  20. Quote: Do changing signs count as changes? What about that pointless sign inside of the inn that should be outside? Changing signs will not count as changes, since there's more than 5 and if you want to change one of them you will most likely want to change all of them. However, if you want to add a sign or delete a sign that would count as a change. Quote: Are you accepting BoE scenarios too, or is it exclusively for BoA? Like Dintiradan said, BoE scenarios will most likely not be accepted unless we have volunteers who can judge for BoE.
  21. Quote: So... replacing all the default trees counts as how many changes? I think that every edited graphic should count as 2 of your terrain changes, since graphic changes would affect more than one square of terrain. Each change would be one graphic icon, not a whole sheet. However, if you want to make a terrain with a custom graphic to place as one of your 5 changes that would only count as 1 change since it's only affecting one square. And, of course, you can use as many custom graphics as you want in your second town.
  22. Quote: Do "changes" include graphical tweaks? Like, swap out a wallset, replace all the default trees... I think a few small graphical changes like this should be allowed. The point of this contest is to produce fun and creative scenarios, and if you need a little change of scenery to make that happen then go for it. Just try not to go overboard and completely overhaul everything.
  23. Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA, I've got some good news ans some bad news. The bad news is we're postponing those tests indefinitely. The good news is we've got a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men. —Portal 2
  24. Quote: Would "changes" encompass moving or deleting characters and doing other non-terrain related things? The idea is that you can make as many changes as you want to everything but the terrain. You can do whatever you want as far as creatures, items and encounters. You could even change the text on signs if you wanted to.
