Hello - I have tried to download the Avernum 5 demo, to little success. When I start it up, I get the first picture,(guys in a boat), but within 2-3 seconds it stops. The sounds buzzes, and then it goes to stripes (the whole screen). They are very pretty, and I used to be a textile stylist who painted stripes, so I know. However, Windows Vista may be having a problem with it, or it is something else on my machine. my whole computer freezes, including task manager, so I have to shut down the whole works. I see that few others have a problem. I had an issue with Geneforge 5 demo, but adjusted my memory settings, and now am fine with that. My video card is atl catalyst.
