In my opinion, that would be obsenely difficult, and if I tried it, I would do horribly (even on low difficulties) and give up quickly. But other people might want to do this, and I would like to see someone attempt this.

You don't actually have to join Ghaldring to get the quest, just (I think) say that you want to join him.

 

Also, there are quite a few times where there are unavoidable conversations, and people ask you for your opinion, but there is a way to bypass every single one of them. For some, you actually may want to give an opinion and then balance it out later, because of the rewards. (i.e. When you first talk to Rawal in his spire. A little shaper rep. for a point in intelligence and endurence). Also, there is one where you don't have to give an opinion, but it means a pretty tough battle to proceed through the game. (Alwan's mission. If you don't want to complete it right then and want to proceed, you will have to kill a whole lot of people gaurding the only way through)

None of the above. I choose Simulcrum. (I probably spelled that wrong. I always do.)

But the basin takes a while to refill, so at most you can have two people hitting it at once. If your other people aren't healers, I would still have them attack, since they would occasionally hit it.

The annoying thing is that all the enemies can now go through walls and see you through walls.

If you use that tactic, you will always be pressed for cash.

Let's see here..... if I am remembering corectly, then there isn't anything special to do, but that was a difficult fight. It's an underground cave, where there are blue and red (or maybe just red) sentinels, right? I'm not very sure how I handled this one. If you can't fight it, you could always just pay tribute, or do the Drake's quest.

It's actually very possible to have 20 int before you leave the demo area, if you don't invest in anything else.

I find that those green blotches usually give me herbs.

Mine where the non-hostile rats. If you talked to them, they said "Squeak."

You're supposed to run to the non-blue crystal/pylon. The explosion won't reach you there. When that one starts to turn blue, get your party over to the other one fast. You have several turns between the crystal changing color and it exploding. If you manage to avoid all the blasts, you should be able to defeat him.

Good job! You finished it! Now all that's left is to replay the entire game except this time with a different faction.

Ummm.....Maybe you were talking about everything in one forum, but I wasn't. Also, I don't believe that Avadon 7 has come out yet.

EDIT: Also, you did make 13 threads in the Avernum series, right around the amount Alexwood has made here.

Your threads aren't all in one forum (though a lot of them are), because you have questions outside of that forum. Alexwood just had questions regarding one game, and I don't believe that Alexwood's intention was to take up space in the forum.

Yes, but I don't think we can use that logic for believing that there are peoples' souls wandering the earth, and they are invisible except when they choose not to be and then they look like they were when they died.

He has made 12 threads in six days, and you have made 20 threads in 13 days. (And I'm just counting the ones after march) I'm not saying that either of you make more threads than you should, I'm just saying that you probably shouldn't criticize someone for doing the exact some thing you were just doing.

There's also the spirits that you drink.

You know, making many threads isn't bad if there are reasons for them. Alexwood could have condensed his threads into one or several, but you could have done that also for the many threads you made in the Avernum series.

Even though some items decrease your to hit chance, they usually give more armor than you would normally get with an item that doesn't do that. In my current party, they are both(I only have two of them) dual wielders, and they wear the best armor they can find. That means that most of it decreases their to hit chance by quite a bit. I tried putting a few points into dex and luck, and now I'm hitting things again.

I don't think I understand that question fully....You want to know when you are able to kill Alwan?

If those other creations are helping him out, then you have a problem. Some people have said the wormhost rotter even more dificult than samman. (I don't, but it shows how difficult everything is over there)

.......It would be a good idea for you to play Ghaldring's ending. It will clear up a few misconceptions.

I know that there is one in Ghaldring's lab. You have to have many living tools and do a lot of sneaking to access it. (There is a Drakon one there also) Another Drakon canister is in the Tagen's spire's cells, but there are a bunch of powerful golems patroling the area. I don't remember where the second gazer canister is. For all factions besides Ghaldring and Rawal, there is a Gazer and a Drakon canister in the last fight, so if you want and have all of the previous canisters, you could make Ur-drakons or Eyebeasts.

He can heal himself out of the building, though. Once he starts that, bring him back in. When he starts healing from his pylons again, repeat the process.
