I played geneforge 4 first, and the guilt i felt when i lead all of the serviles to their deaths was incredible. It drew me in straight away. Trying to work out the big secret, and the general feeling of mystery in many areas of Geneforge 1 was also really really good. I don't have any really strong feelings for 2, and greta and alwan were just far too annoying, and experience thieves in Geneforge 3. I haven't played 5 yet. If they all had the same graphics and interface, i'd be tempted to say 1, but am not sure. Sorry for my Krykk like answer

I have just played through as a servile as well, but i didn't use creations. Once i got my resistances up to 120% and over, I was a tank, or a turtle mage. It worked really well, and breezed through many areas. I was pretty much invincible, but towards the end of the game when pods were low, some of the fights were tended towards stalemate slogathons, especially the one with krykk! And I didn't even get any exp. from killing him! I used the sunstone belt which is good, and hugely underrated, combined with the special fire shaping greaves, 20% resistances in fire, cold, and magic, it really helps cut the damage down. One of the dragons dropped a scale at greyghost gates, which doesn't seem to be on the ingredient list, maybe I was lucky? I think i need an online geneforge unreal tournament now, with my beefy guy; or just some extra sick scenario's, to help stave off game completion blues!

That would make it possible to play it on my phone, at least chained as it is to a mac or a windows comp, I get some reprieve, which has got to be good for the angels health. Surely, it would run slowly on Java than it would natively?

I used to have a mac, but i couldn't deal with my unbearable smugness when telling other people that. Now I have windows, and I am humble, just like the good lord intended.

Yeah that's what I got on my Mac game, but the bonuses seem to only add up to 5%per resistance on my windows game. I'll check again later, maybe I am wrong

On the Mac they add 10% to stats, don't they? On windows, they seem dissapointingly underpower'd. Have I missed a patch or something?

Why don't you sell everything, and try the open fist birthday suit challenge? It looks like nobody has tried it yet, I'm sure it would be a winner!

I've just been playing as an agent in geneforge 3, even with 20 int, and 1500 spell energy, I was still frequently having to run away to recharge, surely a magic heavy servile would be in a worse position?

Sorry if this question has been answered already, but why is a magic servile build better that an agent or infiltrator?
