  1. My connection's too slow for videos, but I gather from the comments that they are pony videos.

Ponies are cute, but Pokemon are better.122.gif

And its probably watching Dee Dee (Dexter's sister) that has got me thinking that ponies are for girls.

And I would love to know all about Richard White; his connection to Jeff, why Jeff allowed a rival indie developer on his site, and what became of him after SW stopped hosting his games.
  3. I hadn't seen it before. The review was quite entertaining, though of course it was all just nonsense.

And he actually went to the extent of taking and uploading screenshots to prove his point.

  4. No hurricanes/blizzards/tornadoes; it's almost boring. But my state has a very old dam, believed to be in imminent danger of breaking down and flooding the entire area. We want to take down the dam, but the neighbouring state won't allow it, as they want the water for irrigation.

The case is pending in the Supreme Court.

Not sure of whether the potential disaster can be classified 'natural', though.

Wonder who that is. Always thought Nightwatcher and Trenton were the youngest members.
  6. I'd smugly downloaded the Exile source, thinking it would be old and easily comprehensible.

I didn't understand a thing. I need to learn a lot more about Windows programming. And that's just Exile, so wonder what BoA'll be like. whistle

Schiller, "The Glove". ("Der Handschuh") A translation and the original are here.

Yes, that's the one. I didn't know it was a German translation, and it was good to read it again. I've heard a lot about Carroll's Snark too, I'm going to dig it up.
  8. W.Wordsworth's Ode to the Daffodils (?) is about the only English poem that I know of, having been asked to recite it at school.

  9. Letting everyone post and delete at will -or better still, edit their own post counts- would go a long way towards keeping the forum clean of spammy irritating posts.

I'll never admit it, but I want to have a post count of thousand. I have no idea why, but I suppose its psychological and perfectly natural.

That's how I felt when I played Geneforge. Then I moved onto Avernum, and grew lazy; its easier to tap a key than drawing rectangles and clicking.

    That explains it. laugh

Calling magic "magic" makes it sound childish. "Black Magic" has an impressive ring to it, and so do phrases like "Power of the Mantra".
  12. The only time I walk barefoot is in a temple, so my feet are usually safe.

Goat heads - hee. Weeds are common, though none of the ones that I've heard about are as creatively named.

  13. I didn't notice any difference, it's just as slow as usual (My connection's so slow, no website ever loads up unless I use Chrome). 122.gif

Its probably your connection, unless your computer is so slow that your browser is finding its allocated resources inadequate to even render the transferred webpages.
