Geneforge 3 review(years ago would've been better)

1) I found Geneforge on a pack of demos. I'm not a child, but it made such an impression on me that until recently I liked to go around in dark & mysterious-looking hooded outfits...Such a shame that Jeff decided to remake the Avernum series first. 2) I found that it wasn't any use giving the game to any of my friends. The reaction's always "Ew. Not only does it have awful graphics and no music, but you actually have to spend most of your time reading things :-P"

I've been fortunate enough to have known no Richard White at all. I was curious about the RW cult, but it doesn't exist anymore (apparently) so I never asked anyone about it.

Many of you've got thousands and thousands of posts; I'll never catch up. I'll just call it a milestone and be happy when I get to a postcount of 500.

JamesMighty joined recently, had a handshake avatar and made it to maybe 200 posts, but I haven't seen him lately.

From the scenarios I've played or so far (about 20 or so), this one is as close as BoA can get to having strategy-oriented gameplay. Your party controls a group of NPC soldiers (including a priest and a mage) and are required to defeat an oncoming group of golems. You can position your army any way you like, make them move/attack mid-battle and have your priest and mage cast blessing spells on units. Since it doesn't have much of a story or any kind of talking/looting/adventuring, and Charles himself says that this is an experiment, I guess the scenario should be reviewed accordingly. [rating]Good[/rating]: The idea is fantastic, and the scripting is awesome.

Hey this is great. But smileys have no Wesnoth counterparts. *sniff*

I'd always thought that memes make themselves, and aren't made on purpose. But I don't think I've been on the internet long enough to fully appreciate what they are.

I've had this bug too. I don't know about Android, but from my Windows experience it might be a good idea to make regular backups of your save files.

Fable is good, but it's a big-sized first-person RPG.

I <go to my position>. The Retsnoms sure do seem to be powerful.

I've never personally killed an enemy in G1. (I was too young, and I got used to dbug-killing everything. Thankfully that cheat was removed in later games).

Yea. Since you already have some BoA scenario designing experience (the scripts of which are based on C), you'll probably be comfortable starting off with C/C++ .

I don't think so. I remember finding what appeared to be a pair of dice which gave a +1 to luck. I wouldn't have noticed it, but when my cursor moved over the graphic I saw that it was differently named; then I looked over the properties and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a magical item.

I hadn't heard of the HIM series either (must be really long back), but I just downloaded the first part and am going to play it.
