Serious Geneforge 5 graphic problem.[G5]
Dark Neptune replied to Dark Neptune's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
Aww, man. thanks for letting me know that anyways. BTW, I use DirectX because the original version has out-the-usual G5 colors at the startup, and when I clicked "New Game", my com says there's an error and the game needs to be exited. Any idea what's the prob? -
Serious Geneforge 5 graphic problem.[G5]
Dark Neptune posted a topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
I posted a similar topic weeks ago, but however I am a little to bring up the previous thread. So anyways this is my problem: I can't see the advanced graphics of items and creations (Example: My Battle Beta is red in colour, as opposed to the original blue.) In the previous thread people told me to turn off fast graphics, and set graphics to draw all. But I did those, and yet it still does not come out. I am currently using a half-a-dozen years old Windows, and the original G5 couldn't be played on it. So I am currently using the DirectX version. Is it because of this I can't received the advanced graphics in G5? Thanks to any reply. (BTW, All the other Geneforge games (1-4), I could receive the extra graphics on the same computer I am using. But G5 is the only exception.) -
Ok thanks for the info!

Seriously I got a hard time finding it. Where the heck is it anyway? Can someone let me know where to find it? Thanks and apperciate your replies.

Geneforge 5 graphic problem.[G5]

Of course, Big Mac always win. Even though it's a tasty but yet unhealthy burger from McDonalds. But why are comparing it to a Windows computer that is half a dozen years old anyway? -

My computer is like 6-7 years old, Windows. And yea, it runs really [Censored] slow. -
Geneforge 5 graphic problem.[G5]
Dark Neptune replied to Dark Neptune's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
Agreed. It seems G5 is kinda of slow without playing in fast graphics mode. But I still want the coloring as I hate trying to kill Cryoas while thinking they're easy Fyroas before I learnt about the differences. -

Ok will try, thanks for helping. -
I brought up this problem here before, but that was months ago. Now I have already ordered the full version of Geneforge 5 to be shipped on CD, and I think it's on the way. So as I still play the Demo while waiting, I forgotten what settings to do to draw more specific graphi coloring. Example? Well, Cryoas look exactly the same color as Fyoras, and whatever type of Crystals I pick up they are always lightish green. What settings should I do to draw the additional (and correct) colourings? Thanks for anyone's help, apperciate it.

Ok, I will try that out. Thanks for the info!

I am just starting Geneforge 5 demo on Windows com. And as a big Geneforge fan, the first thing I wanna do in a Geneforge game is to create a Cryoa. And when I created one, I was shocked: The Cryoa in G5 is exactly the same color as the Fyora, and breathes Fire like the Fyora, but the the text said the "So-called Cryoa" dealt ( ) points of Cold damage to ( ). So I am wondering is this a graphic color prob and whether only my com has this prob? Do let me know, thanks.

Windows Beta-Testing Geneforge 5[G5]
Dark Neptune replied to Spidweb's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
Ok, understood. But the fact that I didn't know applications for the Windows Beta testing had already closed a nearly a week before I came and re-visited this forum to learn about it. I am hoping Geneforge 5 is released in the first week of March. -
Windows Beta-Testing Geneforge 5[G5]
Dark Neptune replied to Spidweb's topic in Geneforge Series - Originals
I think Jeff should have sent us Windows Users about the Beta testing for the Windows version. I was busy the past few weeks and didn't bother the search the Spiderweb forums, as the spoilers I heard from Mac users were uninteresting. -
Questions about the endings [spoilers][G5]

Wait...did Monarch make an appearance in G5? (Okay, some of you may know me as a Windows users, but I don't mind you people giving me spoilers for the game, because, I can't wait. Thanks.) -

That's an interesting place to start a RPG game. I still have doubts about seeing cities where Drakons have been held at. -

Heh. Seriously, when the Nov Update from Jeff himself comes, Window users probably should be warned not to see the thread for storyline spoilers. By the way, what is a "Foundry"? -

I think it's a little offensive to say Beta-Testers suck. At least they give us new info, and shed light on gameplay and stuff, whether true or false, you get a feel out of it. I think we should be more apperciative of Beta testers as they take their time for testing the early versions of games, giving the developers' games crucial feedback to finalize the final version of the game to its full, potential gaming experience. Be thankful, if you want G5 to be better than World of Warcraft, and not the boring G4 which after a short while of playing again and again, you get bored, then I suggest you guys thank the beta testers. That's all I have to say. -

It doesnt look like Northwest Terrestia contains 80+ areas. We may need to travel Southwest though. -

From what I learned from the 4 Geneforge installments, G5 most likely takes place in Western and Southwestern Terrestia. Here's my proof: *In G2, you were sent by the Shaper Council to Drypeak. You start from the Southeastern part of the G2 globe. *In a few G4 Descriptions, it says one of the strongest Rebellions(Takers and Drayks and Drakons) were North of Terrestia, and it would have been the Northwest of Terrestia because you dont see Drypeak of Medab in the Northeastern part. *The description for the upcoming G5 is that "Both Shaper Rebel sides are locked in a stalemate." This means the ending for G4 must have been a Trakovite, and Akkahari Blaze stated that the Unbound will advance West, and the endgame description for Trakovite ending states "Both sides are locked in a stalemate". (Although it says somewhat the same for Pro-Rebel ending, wont the Rebel side be overpowered in all ways, and the stalemate was actually to the Drakons' favor? *The Shaper Council is actually stronger than the Keep on Dhonal's Isle on the Ashen Isles, so it should have contained more forces than Dhonal's Isle has. Since the Start-game description for G4 says "At first, Shapers were taken by surprised, but then they regrouped, and their armies came." Considering how strong the Shaper army was, they probably took the neariest Rebel-controlled land, the Illya Province. This means the army that came to attack Rebels came from Turabi gate, which is the Southern link between Western and Eastern Terrestia, where the Shaper Council was probably nearer. If I am wrong at any point, feel free to correct me. -
