Jewels, is there any way you could trim it down to a more manageable number? This is an excellent opportunity for spring cleaning.
  2. I've fallen in love with Charles Bukowski. I just finished Post Office, and plan on picking up a copy of Ham on Rye the next time I visit my fiancee's work.

  4. Since Celtic Minstrel is far too lazy to post the link, I'll do it. Hehe. (If it's not the one you're referring to, I don't wanna hear it.) http://www.ironycentral.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=166756
  5. Some might find this helpful. DreamHost is offering two years of free service and a domain to all existing GeoCities users. Might take some pressure off Aran. http://blog.dreamhost.com/2009/04/24/theyre-internet-history/ Oh, and I <3 the Alpha Centauri quote in your sig.
  6. I've played parties with and without special traits and the extra skills always showed up. When, I have no idea since I didn't really pay attention. Ye Olde Standby: Backup your saves and reinstall. Only thing I can think of.
  7. You're not supposed to be able to reduce skills. That's not a bug. Is your main problem fixed?
  8. Instead of annoying him, we could try melting his cold, cold heart with the warmth of our love for his games. Kind of like at the end of the The Grinch. Would that work? Or is he far too jaded and cynical now? Fah who for-aze! Dah who dor-aze! Welcome Christmas, Come this way!

Otherwise, open-source software is never a bad thing. I'd love for the series (or at least the first two games) to be updated to fit with BoE and/or E3. I doubt it would ever happen, but perhaps some enterprising souls would take it upon themselves. Inversely proportional, I trust? The way I see it, OBoE happened because he got tired of dealing with it (plus the people nagging) and had better stuff to do. With Avernum 6 on the horizon, as well as the possibility of a whole new game, if we really put our hearts into whining, he'll do it. Of course with Ormus off doing... whatever it is he does, there's not really anyone who could do much. But I'm sure he'd pop up eventually. Quick! Email Jeff! A lot!
  10. Any chance of the trilogy ever getting open-sourced?
  11. Oh dear. Umm... bugger. Of Good & Evil maybe? Or Emulations? Possibly even Election? I just don't know!
  12. So Jeff can still make a quick buck if someone's not smart enough to look around. Plus there might be some who still prefer buying the game. Maybe they hate open-source software, want to support the company, or are more comfortable getting it directly from the developer. Who knows.
  13. I find that idea frighteningly attractive. Is there something wrong with me?
  14. Most of the people who still play BoE end up trying every scenario that comes out (if they can find the time). So I think a good portion of people will. I would.
